Summary

It was a ghastly horror of a house party. Miss Penelope Childe and all the others were awaiting the end of the wicked earl's rotten life. Excellent gothic romance

I don’t have a lot of experience with gothic romances which is surprising since I have read so many Regency romances and gothic horror stories. This was one of my first and I thoroughly enjoyed it! It was like the best of both worlds. It wasn’t too scary or graphic but had enough intrigue and interesting characters to make it fun and interesting. I actually listened to it twice before writing this review. I very rarely enjoy a book enough to read it a second time much less right after reading it the first time. If you are a fan of Northanger Abbey, you will really enjoy this one! Well performed and written, you can’t ask for more except that it might be longer or you get your hands on more from this author quicker!!
