Summary

The Pandion Knight Sparhawk had bested the massed forces of the God Cyrgon upon the field of battle. But victory turned to ashes when the foul God's minions kidnapped Sparhawk's wife, the beautiful Queen Ehlana. Sparhawk must surrender Bhelliom, the awesome jewel of power - or Ehlana would die.But Cyrgon's lackeys had misjudged their foe. Sparhawk fought on, and none of his companions flinched from the awesome struggle, though each must vanquish forces of evil from Tamuli's dark past, and from fetid places beyond human ken.

Still, the full magnitude of their peril was yet to be revealed...Cyrgon had dared the unthinkable: He had called forth Kleal, Bhelliom's opposite, to rend the very world asunder. Thus, as it had ever been decreed, would Bhelliom and Kleal contend for the fate of this world--even as the man Sparhawk must finally face the God Cyrgon, in mortal combat and alone...

Love all Eddings books

I really love all the books I have read by Eddings bit when listening to books the readers go on different dialects are just horrible. It’s actually painful to hear him butcher part of the important characters. I wish he skipped his need to act Eddings funny and interesting people in this book.

Eddings is a wonderful story teller

David Eddings captured his audience’s attention with The Belgariad and the characters and world he created have stood the test of time. The two trilogies of Sparhawk’s story directed his talented pen to a story with a different tone but the same rich and immersive world and characters that became like friends. I read the books when they came out. Audible has allowed me to re-visit the story I love.

I'm so pleased it's over

just a terrible terrible book, even the narration was annoying in the end as he had such shallow 2 dimensional, contradictory nasty characters to narrate.

I can't believe Eddings had made a living with a 3rd class fantasy rip off, hateful books purchased on sale and now thankfully finished, never again!

Captures the essence

i had read the books a couple of times in Danish. But needed to hear them. Glad I did. They fully gave an even brighter picture then I already had about the world and how Sparehawk moved around ind it.

Pronunciation at times lacking.

Should check pronunciation before committing to tape. Story fantastic. More Sparhawk, More Flute and certainly more Pandions

Brilliant listening

Absolutely gripping. Even while wanting to know the end was sad when it finally finished. The narration took you in and didnt let go until the end. Yet another magical series by David Eddings
