Summary
The perfect seasonal tale of how laughter, friends and wacky Christmas jumpers can mend a broken heart. For fans of Trisha Ashley and Jenny Colgan.
Heartbroken after being jilted at the altar, Sybil has been saved from despair by her knitting obsession and now her home is filled to bursting with tea cosies, bobble hats, and jumpers. But, after discovering that she may have perpetrated the cock-up of the century at work, Sybil decides to make a hasty exit and, just weeks before Christmas, runs away to the picturesque village of Tindledale.
There, Sybil discovers Hettie's House of Haberdashery, an emporium dedicated to the world of knitting and needle craft. But Hettie, the outspoken octogenarian owner, is struggling and now the shop is due for closure. And when Hettie decides that Sybil's wonderfully wacky Christmas jumpers are just the thing to add a bit of excitement to her window display, something miraculous starts to happen…

Aww such a lovely listen!
I love a good Christmas book, after seeing the reviews I knew this was going to win my heart!
As soon as I started I couldn’t stop listening, the narrator was PERFECT for the story. So heart warming, you can predict the ending but it makes it more special that it does happen. I hope we hear more from sibs & Hetty! I’d love a second book on the success of the store x

Brilliant. As a kniter myself ,loved it
Loved it Complead in one fell swoop, didn't want stop listening, I didn't want too waste time sleeping
Such a feel good book ,
just a range of emotions. Must have been written by a knitter.....lol. Just enough suspense to make you hope for the happy ending, but still not sure if you are going to get it right to the end.I feel so glad I got it.As I usually go for murder mysteries or the classics .Up to date Jane Austin.!

A lovely story but not quite
This is a great book to listen to if you want something lightweight and cheery but I found it a little shallow, with the story not quite believable and the characters without any depth. It also wasn’t that Christmassy so don’t expect a warm festive glow once you’ve finished. But it’s perfect it you want something feel good that you don’t have to think about too much and you don’t mind it all being a little too perfect.

Great wee story
A story involving knitting, romance and starting again? What's not to like?
"A good yarn" that knitters (and non-knitters) will enjoy
