Summary

You can't keep a good thief down. Charlie Howard - mystery writer and professional burglar-for-hire - is back in the saddle, robbing the people of Berlin blind. But his larcenous binge is about to be interrupted by a call to duty - on behalf of Her Majesty's Government.

A sensitive item has been stolen from inside the British embassy in Berlin. Four employees are suspected of the theft and Charlie is hired to discreetly break into each of their homes, identify the guilty culprit and steal the item back.

There's just one problem: the item is so sensitive that Charlie can't be told what it is. But how do you find something when you don't know what you're searching for? And what do you do if you witness a murder during your first break-in?

So sad that there are no further Good Thief Guides. I have listened to each of them and have loved every listening minute. Simon Vance is such a fabulous narrator. What will happen to Charlie and Victoria?

in the same veign as the previous book

Would you listen to The Good Thief's Guide to Berlin again? Why?

no. It wasn't as good as the other books.

What does Simon Vance bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?

for me simon vance embodied the main character.

Any additional comments?

this appears to be the last book in the series. There isn't any other country he could go to and the breaking in and stealing of items has come to an end too.

Some thief!

I listened to this simply because I had downloaded it. I didn't enjoy the one set in Paris either. The reason why I persevered was because I. I bought the 2 together , on the strength of reviews......and it was... equally boring.
Like the previous book, it wasn't clever, it wasn't funny and it wasn't engaging. It was "wallpaper" to the job I was doing. I really didn't care whether he got caught or not, and I won't spoil that "cliff hanger". It wasn't offensive it was frankly.... a bit tedious, and for once I wasn't sorry when I got to it's inevitable end.The narrator did his best... but it just wasn't good enough.
The best part was the bird, and I mean the feathered one.

Awesome book

I am a huge fan of the series and really enjoyed the book. The story is funny. The narator great and I just had a good time following Charlie on his next adventure.
