Summary

Candid and contemporary, this audiobook gives you a Christian place to turn for answers to your most intimate - and embarrassing - questions.

Billions of people have had sex. Far fewer have made love. In The Good Girl's Guide to Great Sex, author Sheila Wray Gregoire helps women see how sexual intimacy was designed to be physically stupendous but also incredibly intimate.

Whether you're about to walk down the aisle, newly married, or you've been married for decades, The Good Girl's Guide to Great Sex will lead you on a wonderful journey of discovery toward the amazing sex life God designed you for.

With humor, research, and lots of anecdotes, author Sheila Wray Gregoire helps women see how our culture's version of sex, which concentrates on the physical above all else, makes sex shallow. God, on the other hand, intended sex to unite us physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Gregoire walks through these three aspects of sex, showing how to make each amazing, and how to overcome the roadblocks in each area we often encounter.

Drawing on survey results from over 2,000 people, she also includes lots of voices from other Good Girls, giving insight into how other women have learned to truly enjoy sex in marriage.

Tables and statistics charts included in the audiobook companion PDF download.

The Best Book I've read on Sex

Explores so many of the common pitfall with regards to sex. Spiritually sound content, which is something I've struggled with on some christian books I've read about sex. I would recommend this to everyone, men and women included, single and married. Awesome book!

More Bible than sex advice

I should have read past the first paragraph...
The author harps on about God and Jesus n all that plain bs.
Bare tips n tricks more crucifix.

This book is practical, real, engaging and generally biblicly sound. It is strengthed by the fact that it is somewhat based on surveys of both men and women. A great read for 'Good men' and 'good women'.

So there's nothing wrong with me!

I've always thought that I wasn't the type of woman that was very interested in sex at all. My husband however have been constantly complaining that we never have sex and why that is. I always felt that there was something wrong with me and I could understand why. My husband got more and more frustrated and I buried my head in the sand and hoped that the problem would go away. It didn't.

I came over this book and it has helped me to understand myself more and also why my husband wants to have sex often. Nothing is wrong with me and I'm not alone! Must read for all newly weds!

Good but...

She spent a substantial amount of time addressing topics relevant to virgins, which is great for them, but I struggled to stay focused during those passages because I've been married nearly a decade.

Very Helpful for Making Decisions

Helpful when trying to decide what should and shouldn't be done in bed. Although, the author does not give a definitive answer on what's "right" or "wrong" for most topics, she lets the reader decide. author appears to switch back and forth from a "women's rights" motive to "serving your husband" motive, which can be confusing. The full saving gospel could have been presented better (or at all). Then again, I suppose that's not intention of the book. As a whole, very worthwhile book for those with doubts or questions about the subject.

Fantastic!

I wasn't sure going into this book what to expect. Just a few minutes into it, I realized it was nothing like I was expecting. A very good read. Tasteful and well done. If you are unsure about the whole "sex thing", this book is definitely the way to go. I was sad when it ended. Fantastic!

Life changing

This book is absolutely amazing I'm so glad I bought it. I listened to it in two days and I'm gonna listen to it again and again! I can't tell you how much I needed this biblical view of sex and marriage. Thank you sooo much for writing this book.

This Book is Very Helpful

What made the experience of listening to The Good Girl's Guide to Great Sex (and You Thought Bad Girls Have All the Fun) the most enjoyable?

Even though I am male, I found the ideas in this book very helpful.

What did you like best about this story?

It is not really a story, but the best things about this book is if you want to be in God's will about your sexual life and have GREAT sex this is a very helpful book.

Which scene was your favorite?

The advise that Shelia gives, that my wife does, that is very helpful to me but HARD, is that she tell the ladies not to have sex with their husband every time they want it. All the others books on sex that I have read does not give this advise and are written by males. Ladies please be strong and loving when you do this.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

This book did not make me laugh or cry, but I found it very helpful.

great title but a bit shaming in the book language

I agree with her premise 100%!!! I find the language and presentation in the book is more shaming than it was intended, I am sure. For those that have challenging childhood and pasts and are still healing (which I have personally found to be lifelong) I would recommend "Intimacy Issues: 21 questions"
