Good series<br />

Derek has a pleasant voice to listen to. Story was good, not an in depth story, but it does have sufficient scope and engagement that I felt compelled to listen to all 6 books.

A Good end to the story arc

The last book of this saga thankfully pays off, and you are treated to an excellent conclusion.
The story culminates in a way that's actually satisfying, although I do feel the final revelations and background of the villain deserved a bit more depth. Most importantly, the hero finally no longer sounds like a child.

It was worth seeing to the end, and in time I will see what else Brian D Anderson has up on Audible.

Lovely fantasy series

I have thoroughly enjoyed this series.
I am the type of person who doesn't have time to listen to long series so I usually avoid them.
Yet I come by this series during the Christmas holiday and I decided to give it a go. I though that I shall quickly stop if I don't like it but the series was captivating and I kept wanting for more. Also the storytellers voice is very soothing and deep.

such standard unoriginal stuff

had to force my self to get through this syrup probably for the younger generation not for the cynical or those in search of originality

An great journey

A really addictive end to the series with a satisfactory conclusion in most cases. On disappointment was the weak way in which Lee Starfinder just quietly diminished within the story. Great adventure and well worth a blast.

just not impressed

I just felt like the characters were meh... wasn't terrible, but just meh. it was very predictable through all the books which made it harder for me to stay engaged.

too long

this series should have ended 3 books ago. I kept going for ending that was not that good.

Religious agenda gets a little hard to swallow

Having listened to the whole series I enjoyed the story and how things unfolded throughout. However the ending of this book felt rushed and politicized. I feel like the Dark Knight was a character worth more refinement then a few flashbacks and an extremely short battle. Additionally the whole explanation of the creator completely breaks the 4th wall for me as it is basically paraphrased from christian theology literature.
Narnia is a great series which I like listening to even with the deeply religious undertones because the story is interesting and doesn't sacrifice itself to push an agenda which I felt this final book falls down on.

filler

the book itself was decently written the storyline could have been engaging if it wasn't the sixth book in the series that should have only been about two and a half books long... not to mention the interesting and fun Segway harkening back to the beginning of the story rather than the end of the story but placed in the end of The Saga

the ending seemed rather anticlimactic.

bringing Darshan back as a mortal was kinda lame. I was expecting him to return AS A GOD, and for a brief visit. returning as a human ..... me how!

A series of meaningless events

This 6-book series was a compilation of disconnected and mostly meaningless adventures with just enough cohesion to make you hope the next book would tie it all together. In the end, I felt like I had been led through the brambles looking for a path that never materialized.

Not up to previous books

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

Less tedium! The story drags on and on in this book. I really enjoyed the first 5 books in the series. Couldn't finish this one!

Would you ever listen to anything by Brian D. Anderson again?

yes.

What does Derek Perkins bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Great voice.

The Godling CHRONICLES series

A very good series. It really took me away to a totally new world from sea to sands. Derek Perkins is a great narrator. He really brought life to the series. This is at least the third time I've listened to this series, and I will listen to it again.

No need for words

You will understand upon hearing this wonderful story to completion. No words can describe it other than the words of the author.

Great Story!!!

I really enjoyed the books, the narrator was good just wish for sound fx. didn't realize it was a saga only a trilogy lol so it came as a surprise that I needed to read three more books to finish this amazing story.
