Narrator was a bit robotic and the story was a bit slow to start. I nearly gave up but persevered. When the story reached a climax it got a lot better, it just took a while getting there.

unfortunately I was left rlfrustrated by the amount of detail into trivia, but the real information you needed was left short. example. Becky, we learned nothing of what became of her or if she was rescued even, there was more detail about the cookies they ate and the amount ice in their drinks. I kept thinking the story had jumped ahead and I missed chapters.

this has the promise of a really good thriller

This story had be hooked. I couldn't put it down. It was sickening.
I found Jillian really irritating. She was just as liable in my opinion. She chose to ignore all warning signs. I was disappointed that she wasn't stronger. I could have done with more information about Andy. Was River taken or did she choose to be a part of Red House. Who took care of Lola in the end. I have too many questions.

I had to return this book, Nothing about it is clever or thrilling or even remotely credible. I could not finish it, and won't lose any sleep not knowing how it turns out.
