Summary

Forbidden to leave her island, Isabella dreams of the faraway lands her cartographer father once mapped. When her best friend disappears, she's determined to be part of the search party.

Guided by an ancient map and her knowledge of the stars, Isabella navigates the island's dangerous Forgotten Territories. But beneath the dry rivers and dead forests, a fiery myth is stirring from its sleep.

A story of myths and adventures

A gripping adventure full of young girls quest for justice as she searches for the truths within her home isle of Joya. Full of mythical references, dangers. Isabelle is the worthy heroine in this story.

Amazing!!

This audiobook is amazing, it has been my personal favorite for years and I have loved it every time I have listened to it. The characters are brilliant and I love that Kiran included made up names like the didahlo and I would definitely recommend this to anyone that is looking for a exciting, amazing and mysterious tale!!

There is a very good execution BUT

The book is very good and you can picture it in your mind very well but if you don't like a slow going book I wouldn't recommend but even if you don't try it out🌊🌊🌊

Enthralling

My daughter and I so enjoyed listening to this fantastic story. The reader has a wonderful voice and such a range of accents to make the characters come alive. A pacy story with wonderful twists and turns.

Very well written

This wasn’t totally my cup of tea, and I got it completely by chance. It was a bit too fantasy for me and I felt the second half was a little rushed. But although classed as a children’s book, it was written in a very adult style, and the audiobook was narrated incredibly well. I liked that the protagonists were young females, and I think this is really important, especially in adventure stories. Overall a good book, but not for me 😊

A delight

A wonderful tale that threads a winding path between the mythical and the real. To my shame, I don't know (yet) if this is based on traditional myths from somewhere or if it is a work of pure imagination. I'm excited to find out, though it doesn't matter to me either way.

It was magnificently read, which was the icing on an already fabulous cake.
