A girl who trades time itself.

A discovery that changes everything.

The space elevator was meant to be humanity’s salvation, but now it stands abandoned, surrounded by a forest that is mutating into something deadly.

Trading the mysterious time marbles to survive, Violet and her robotic companion, Jackdaw, seek to find a cure to their dying home.

This was an excellent book, wonderfully and clearly narrated. It's the ideal listen for people like the main character: a 12-year-old girl who goes where she pleases and fixes broken machines. But this is enjoyable for all demographics - what starts off as a quaint story about a girl and her robot soon develops through consumate world-building into a story of planetary proportions! Highly recommended.
