Summary
The third instalment of the Millennium Trilogy - which has now sold more than 26 million copies worldwide.
Salander is plotting her revenge – against the man who tried to kill her, and againstthe government institutions that very nearly destroyed her life. But it is not going to be a straightforward campaign. After taking a bullet to the head, Salander is under close supervision in Intensive Care, and is set to face trial for three murders and one attempted murder on her eventual release.
With the help of journalist Mikael Blomkvist and his researchers at Millennium magazine, Salander must not only prove her innocence, but identify and denounce the corrupt politicians that have allowed the vulnerable to become victims of abuse and violence. Once a victim herself, Salander is now ready to fight back.

Makes you want to drive to India!
The whole "The Girl..." series is very very absorbing. I lost track of time and wait in the garage for a pause to start for tomorrow. There are same issues not settle through the series, you have an episode here and there leads you to nowhere, but never the less it makes driving my favourite pass time!

Great story but ...
Really good story. Having listened to book one and two I expected the same narrator but sadly not. I couldn’t enjoy the new narrator, his cadence was all wrong and he didn’t sound credible. The main character had turned into a cockney which sounded ridiculous. A few of the other accents were very out of keeping too. Such a pity. I guess I should have listened to the sample!

Awful narrator in this abridged version
AVOID THIS VERSION and go for the 25 hour version. After listening to the first two books which were narrated very well, this one is out of keeping and stupid, (Salander suddenly sounds like a dim bloke from the East End!?) Glad I realised and found the other version before I got the the end of chapter 1

Interesting, but not the best of the three
I enjoyed listening to the abridged version of this story, mainly because I felt that the unabridged versions of the first two books dragged for too long in details and descriptions of the characters. It was great to be able to learn what happened to Salander, but the third book is definitely the weakest of the three.

Stieg Larsson was a first-class story-teller
If you could sum up The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest in three words, what would they be?
dark, thrilling and fascinating
Any additional comments?
The trilogy offers a glimpse into a dark but fascinating underworld, with memorable characters, a growing web of intrigue and subterfuge, told with masterful flair. It is a great pity that this was to be Larsson's last opus.

I did not under Slanader's accent
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
I love the story although Larsson is a little heavy with details. I did not understand Salander's accent which seemed more cockney. That threw me off when listening.Otherwise, excellent
What did you like best about this story?
Blomkvistn seems to be the ideal man. The men like him, the women want to sleep with him and I was glad that Salander made her peace with him.

Any additional comments?
Even though the series clearly winds down in this installment, this story drew me in just as much as the other two. I think part of it would be Wenner's narration. I have enjoyed it all along, but I will say, his American accent is, well, pitiful. However, I will let it pass because he was fantastic in every other sense. ;)

I devoured the first 2 books and this one is no different. Martin Wenner is still a great narrator and the plot just keeps on getting better and better.
I wish Stieg larsson was still alive... I want more of the adventures of Lisbeth!!!
You just want to know more about her and what else she does. It's like watching James Bond movies - you get addicted to the stories.
