Summary

Thirteen years ago, Olivia Adams went missing. Now she's back...or is she?

When six-year-old Olivia Adams disappeared from her back garden, the small community of Stoneridge was thrown into turmoil. How could a child vanish in the middle of a cozy English village?

Thirteen years on and Olivia is back. Her mother is convinced it's her but not everyone is sure. If this is the missing girl, then where has she been - and what happened to her on that sunny afternoon?

If she's an imposter, then who would be bold enough to try to fool a child's own mother - and why?

Then there are those who would rather Olivia stayed missing. The past is the past and some secrets must remain buried.

An absorbing and gripping psychological thriller that will have you holding your breath until the final minute.

The Girl Who Came Back

10 stars if possible. A super narration with, brilliant mystery story right to the end. I thought I'd worked it out but was slightly wrong. Good, it beat me, so that makes the brilliance of it. ✔️👍

Brilliantly believable story with a satisfying end

This is one of those books that really captivated me. The narration was excellent which allowed the story to flow. There was enough intrigue from the protagonist to keep the reader guessing. Enjoyed it immensely.

Great book

Really enjoyed this book, although I guessed who she was early on, there was still plenty of twists at the end.

enjoyable

I did enjoy this book but I was able to work parts of it out before the clues came, but it didn't spoil the stories and it kept me interested all the way through . I was glad I bought it

Ok

I finished it and kept listening but felt it lacked something. The flicking in between time lines got a little confusing in parts and had to Re listen

Slower pace than some of the writer's other books

I liked the story although found that it felt much more leisurely paced than some of the other books by the same author and the book didn't really keep you guessing as much as it could've done.

Slow

Great sample, but book was so slow. Skipped the last couple of chapters because I was beginning to lose my patience

Worth the long haul for the ending

I nearly gave up half way through as there seemed to be so little progress with the storyline. I thought I had predicted the ending, but I had swallowed a red herring! The story had a great finish with explanations as to how and why very neatly tied up. I just wish it hadn't taken quite so long to get there.

Loved!!

This author gets it!! A very flawed character can be created, and yet that character can be a likable protagonist to root for! I loved the story, and the narration is perfect.

Everything you could want in a mystery /thriller!

Great story! Solid narration and packed with intrigue. Side stories helped to thicken the plot. I've purchased more expensive books that were much less enjoyable. Looking forward to more from this author on the future!

It was "OKAY".

Struggled to finish. Much too detailed but at the end it all made sense. Would not suggest it as a "must read".

Engaging and entertaining

I really enjoyed this book although I somewhat figured out the end before the conclusion, but it did not take away from the pleasure of listening to it

A twisted story about a broken family

At first I almost gave up on this one, so glad that I didn't. It took me a while to put it together and of course the last couple of chapters confirmed it. A psychological thriller that is definitely worth the money. Glad I didn't miss this one. 😀😀😀

What an awesome read

The story is very captivating. A very relatable topic. The suspension is mildly heart pounding. Gripping, exciting, and rewarding.

ehhh

I finished it because I hate not finishing books. The story was okay. The narrator wasn't great, I felt like the inflection in her voice should have changed more. she could have been reading a recipe for cookies.
