it was a shame ,I was enjoying it but the main character became more and more unlikeable as the story went on

The humour mixed with the reality

The story was very funny and made me giggle a lot, however the Female lead takes more than half the book to move on. I wouldn't put this under romance but rather slice of life. the narrator did an excellent job and I loved all of the side characters.

Frankie is the best friend we all need.

I enjoyed this book so much.
Izzy Bayliss has really created som great characters, that bring out all the emotions…Lily doesn’t always make the right decisions ( sometimes you want to shake her) her sister is OTT and totally entitled , the husband a right b’ word. Then some nicer ones come along the way…

I had to listen to the whole to see if the main character actually grew a backbone. The story line was frustrating because I don’t think I have ever known anyone so gullible, pathetic or stupid, as the main character. It wasn’t cute or sweet if it was ment to be. There was an explanation of why the sister was so awful and rude but even the explanation doesn’t excuse the rude nasty way the main character and the father made excuses for her. Glad I finished the book, actually surprised I did because a few times I was going to give up on it. At the end she still hadn’t grown a backbone.
