Summary

The first rule of being a ghost whisperer: Don't tell anyone. Seriously. Don't.

Sure, it might sound harmless. A fun party trick, even. I assure you, it's not. How do I know? Well, let's just say that I've had a lot of experience with this sort of thing, and nine times out of 10, it turns into an all-consuming disaster.

Being plagued by needy ghosts 24-7 is one thing; being harassed by a horde of curious - or worse, grieving - flesh-and-blood people is an entirely different circus. I mean really, who wants to hold an impromptu seance in the middle of the cereal aisle? Not me, and the manager of the grocery store probably isn't too crazy about the idea, either.

So, that's it. If you're a ghost whisperer, just keep your mouth shut and act normal. Ghosts? What ghosts?

Now, if only I would start listening to my own advice....

well narrated and engaging story but predictable

I enjoyed the story. The characters were likeable and interesting enough to hold my attention. it was well narrated. Unfortunately I guessed the ending at the beginning of the story.

Lights, camera spook

This is the first book by this author that I have read or listened too but it won't be my last. Yeah because it looks like she has written a lot of books for me to work my way through. As you can tell I enjoyed this book. I liked the characters and the banter between the main character and her ghostly friends added some humour to the story. The mystery wasn't too complicated and it was easy to guess who was responsible for the death but it was the ghosts reaction to death that had me hooked until the end, just to see what was going to happen next. A fun series that has the potential to be a favourite.
Helping ghost all day, everyday is tiring which is why Scarlet has set up some ground rules for The ghost who need help. But when a renovation tv show buys a house in town it disturbs the resident ghost in a big way. She gives Scarlet an ultimatum get them out of her house by the end of the week or she is going to start hurting them. Scarlet can't stop filming but she can help the ghost move on and in order to do that she needs to find out how the ghost died twenty years ago. Was it an accident or did her fiance really push her down the stairs after an argument? And can she do it all without her secret about seeing ghosts getting out?
I liked the narrator. She helped the story come to life, even the ghosts.

Well you have to love Flapjack! a true aloof stroppy Cat even in death.

Entertaining, well performed with fabulous characters & a story line that rolls along easily.
I'm looking forward to the next book in the series, hopefully with more Flapjack antic's!

written by a teenage girl?

Seems like the book is written by a thoroughly unworldly teenager obsessed with "boys" - despite the main character being a 30-something woman.

I don't mind the odd stereotype but why would an Englishman who died in 1926 address all women as Lady <first name> ? That was never a thing

Wasn’t sure to start with....

Gentle story.
Never had an audiobook narrated by an American before. Wasn’t sure if like it but Amanda Roncinis voice grew on me.
Pleased overall.
