A fast-paced LA crime thriller from Edgar Award–winning author Thomas Perry; now a major motion picture starring Russell Crowe and Aaron Paul.
Aging strip club owner Manco Kapak is ready to move on from his life on the edge of LA's criminal underworld. When he gets robbed at gunpoint, his house gets burgled, and two of his cars are destroyed, he is enraged. Kapak sends his men to scour the streets for the culprit. The search turns up Joe Carver, innocent of the suspected crimes but capable of much more serious ones. Kapak unleashes a force more troublesome than expected while the true perpetrators are still at large.
As the stakes raise on an increasingly violent feud, events explode into a triple killing. Carver finds himself in the middle of a brewing gang war as Kapak grows desperate to shed himself of this madness and his fading empire. Can he find what it takes to "get out"?
Previously published as Strip, The Get Out is a classic caper from "master of suspense" Thomas Perry (Kirkus).
