Summary

It was love at first glance for Mack Quinn, but Sariah Udy has scars that not even this gentle giant can heal.

Sariah Udy has been staring at, and falling in love with, Mack Quinn every game of the Patriots’ winning season, but she knows she could never date someone perfect like him. Sariah has deformities and heartache that she covers with her long hair and lots of humor. When Mack pursues her across the country, can she trust him with her heart, and her sad past?

Mack Quinn knows Sariah Udy is the woman for him. When his efforts to connect with her fail, he has to decide how far he’s willing to go to pursue a woman who won’t allow him into her life.

The Loyal Patriot is a companion novel to The Gentle Patriot and is the story of Hyde Metcalf and Sariah’s sister, Lily Udy.

Fun

Clean Christian Romance with a large football playing H who is a gentle giant and an obsessive personality.

The h drive me nuts with her negative attitude and TSTL behavior. You will understand when she runs towards the end of the story.

Still this was a fun read.

CUTE BUT...

Heroine way too immature, acted like a lame 16 year old,. MAYBE IF HER FAMILY TREATED HER LIKE AN ADULT instead of a wounded defenseless bird. .... Also, she should have showed Mack or told him the deal, after he flew back and forth for a dinner date and BEFORE THEY BOTH GOT IN DEEPER. And
Why would a grown man want or need to regress to dates at high school level?!?!

A very gentle love story

This was a true mash-up of stereotypes. Mack the big football lineman is quiet and reserved while Soriah the heroine is the boisterous commedian.

They both have to overcome trust issues to truly make this relationship work.

She has a very scarred past, he is used to people clinging to his family for money and fame.

Some parts of the book are a bit repetitive, and there are some gaping holes in the plot for those of us who have to have it all lined up nice and neat😊.

A decent listen, very clean.

realllyyyyyyy slow and too sweet

like the Hero. heroine weak and snotty and whiney and I don't see a single positive trait in her. narration was good but after the first couple hours I played it at 1.25 speed or faster because it was going so slow. I have a hard time with insta love and this overwhelming fascination with each other after sharing a couple words.....mmmmm, not so much. aside from that the just over the top sweetness is hard to swallow. the last hour of this was just painful. most whiny heroine in forever.

Good until the last chapter

This was a feel good story, but it feels as though the author lost momentum or hit a deadline, maybe got bored with these characters, because it went from a new relationship to engaged and then nothing in the last chapter. Disappointing to say the least. The series so far has been enjoyable, hope the next one doesn't disappoint.

Good narration and good story

Normally when a book starts out with the characters being instantly in love with each other I end up hating the book. However, this book is an exception. Cami checketts did a great job making the insta-love more innocent and casual than most. There was a gentle built up for each character and the narrator did a great job doing both the male and female characters. Great story overall.

Great

I really liked this book and would recommend it. It had a great storyline and was a clean book without swear words. This couple was great together and I really like Josh. I was glad she got over her fear of showing her scars. She made me mad how she was treating Mack. I really like the Quinn family stories.

I wish Teresa could have a love connection with the football team owner.

it's a cute story

Very cute, no sex, but they make such a sweet couple. Who wouldn't want to have a massive man that's got a heart of gold and is as soft as a teddy bear.
