About this listen

Bitcoin did not appear out of nowhere. For decades prior to Satoshi Nakamoto’s invention, a diverse group of computer scientists, privacy activists, and heterodox economists tried to create a digital form of money that could operate independently of government control. The Genesis Book tells the story of the people and projects that inspired the invention of the world’s first successful peer-to-peer electronic cash system.

I listened to this a couple of times, on the first listen it seemed heavy with the FA Hayek story but it didn't bother me second time around. Some good history and background stories told in this audiobook and I found it entertaining and informative, which was what I was looking for.

Good for btc history and entertaining

This audiobook (and book) is excellent. The narrator is also excellent, British, reminding me of the game 'The Stanley Parable', and he tells you things you will not find in your Wikipedia rabbit hole!
It provides a technical insight on the academia and technology and the various individuals at the forefront of the 'movement'.
I would strongly recommend this as a must read for anyone interested in understanding bitcoin and it's implications.

Technically Insightful and Excellent
