Summary

Chance Washington only has a few things on his mind when he embarks on a trip back to his hometown. Completing the assignment for work that's sending him there in the first place, helping his mom make progress on her fixer-upper home, and catching up with some of his best friends who he doesn't get to see often enough. What is not a part of those plans is hooking up with the little sister of one of his best friends. But it doesn't take long for him to realize that just because you walk into a game with a strategy doesn't always mean things are going to go as planned.

Londyn Miller isn't looking for a relationship; a casual fling is more her thing after blowing through the limited dating options in her hometown. But when a handsome - familiar - face returns to town for an extended stay, the decision to pursue him for a little fun is an easy one; as long as she's sure not to let that fun turn into real feelings while also managing to keep it all from her overprotective big brother.

Just like Chance, Londyn quickly learns that plans and strategy can only get you so far before you're forced to make in-game adjustments.

Contains mature themes.

it was okay

I love the female narrator but the book was almost too predictable. Also not as thrilling as I hoped.

Good Story

I enjoyed this book. However, London was annoying for the 1st 60% of the book. There is a such thing as going to far with the games. Kalad was comic relief. Happy it all worked out in the end. The narration was perfect.

I liked this book!

I really liked this book! Although the make voice was not as energizing and creative as the female voice, I couldn't stop listening. I have heard the female voice on the McClain series under another name though. She is sooo talented!!!

Good story but reader could have been better

I enjoyed the story, but the male reader could have done a better job. The female reader didna good job.

It was decent, not great.

too much sex for my liking and the plot didn't develop much. The characters were realistic so that was good,, but they seemed a bit static and not really ones to which I could relate. The performers saved it, if I were reading it, I would not have finished. It's probably more of a personal taste issue, so others may really like it depending on what you're into.. I plan to give book 2 a try to see if it's any better.

ChanLo

If you are an A. Warren fan, you’ll love this friends-to-lovers story. Her usual tension between the heroine and hero, prove to be fun for the listener as we wait for the eventual heat that is signature in her style. Morae Brehon and Leon Nixon do a solid job with the narration, fun listen!
