About this listen

It's a blindingly hot summer. International visitors surge into Sydney's Darling Harbour. Two-year-old Tommy is sailing his toy boat in the park there with his mother Phoebe. Tommy vanishes into thin air. The following winter, taunting notes written as nursery rhymes begin arriving at his parents' home.

Little Boy Blue, where did you go? Who led you away? Only I know...

The police believe the messages are just a cruel prank. But Phoebe becomes obsessed with tracking down the writer of the rhymes. Her marriage ends up shattering.

When the shocking identity of the writer is discovered, Phoebe's desperate race for the truth has only just begun.

Wholly Engaging throughout and cleverly cleverly written an absorbing performance - couldn’t ‘put it down” brilliant!

Highly recommended

Enjoyed the narration and Sydney setting of the book. Liked the main character was far from perfect. Overall very enjoyable and found myself itching to listen to it at other times in the day. About a third of the way through it got a bit slow but then luckily sped up again. Good twist - I hadn’t guessed! Found one description particularly sad, won’t say which for giving any clues to what happens. Would recommend.

Really enjoyed this read

Well thought out story, tense until the end with believable characters. The narrator told the story very well.

Very good listening

The synopsis for this book sounded great. I did think that it took a while to get going though. I almost decided not to proceed with it but in the end am glad I did. Once it got down to the nitty gritty of the story, the twists, and the fact that you're still guessing who what and how right up to the end made it a great listen in the end. The Narrator was excellent, playing the roles in a great manner, helping the story flow fluently.

Great Story...eventually

I have read two of Anni Taylor's books now, both great but there is at least 30% of the book that isn't necessary, I find myself skipping pages to get to the point.

Great twist
