When her beloved father is killed in the Blitz, trainee nurse April Harvey is all alone in the world. Desperate to find the family she craves, she heads to Truro, her mother's home town.

I found it ok. if you want easy cheesy listen. I'm a ex nurse. never did I have a kindly matron like in this book

A rather lovely story with different aspects from both sides, British and Americans.
A good reminder what everybody sadly went through.
It would be so nice to continue the story in another novel.

I liked all the characters and plot . The landlady was a great creation .

Also Bess was a great villain.

Well written, and well narrated. A lovely heartwarming and accurate storyline, really enjoyed it. Brilliant.

This is the most beautiful Story I've ever listened too. It broken my heart at times.. I'd Cryed with sorrow and happiness. The performance was 100% clear and made me imagine each characters clearly. Well done to the author of this book. I recommend everyone to read and listen too!
