Summary

Princess Emma will do just about anything to get out of marrying the self-centered Prince Jorge. So when she meets a frog named Eadric who claims, of course, to be a prince, she decides to give him a kiss and see what happens. Bad idea. The frog stays a frog, and worse still, Emma turns into a frog herself. It turns out only the person who cast the spell can break it, so Emma and Eadric are soon hopping along trying to find the witch who can make them human again. This clever twist on the classic fairy tale is full of good-natured fun and romance.

A great reading, captured the spirit of the book

Classic book from my childhood. Shame the actual sequel dragon's breath is not available and once upon a curse is not available.

Enjoyable for the whole family

This is a great book for a family car trip. We all enjoyed it - from my eight-year-old daughter through my teenaged sons (honestly!) to me. No one even minded listening to sections again so that others could catch up. Excellent

Enjoyable for the whole family

This is a story written primarily for children but which is certainly enjoyable even if you are an adult. The story is simple enough for a child to follow, but has enough twists to keep an adult interested. There are occasional sidelong references to common sayings or phrases that adults will find amusing but which will be unnoticed by a younger listener who isn’t as familiar with English’s idioms.

The narrator is excellent. She differentiates the voices well and tells the story with apparent enthusiasm.

I think that anyone over the age of five will enjoy this book, and, while an adult will also enjoy it, it really would rate only three stars for folks over 18.

Listen to this one while on an automobile trip with kids and everyone will have a good time.

Entertaining!

My children (11, 8 and 5) all enjoyed listening to this "modern" fairy tale while on a roadtrip. The story is entertaining, humorous and made the trip all the more pleasant.

Fun MG fantasy romance

This was a super fun, middle grade, fantasy romance. The characters was cute and funny. The story was light hearted and enjoyable. I listened to it straight through. I’ll definitely listen to the rest of the series. I was happy to get this in the Audible Escape package as it’s low on middle grade and YA books. 3.5 stars

Lovely

I read and loved this book as a little girl. Listening to it again as a young adult (23), it still holds all the charm and fun that it did when I was 8. The narration was also lovely. I really enjoyed how she did all the voices for the characters. I’m very excited to continue listening to the series again. I believe I even still have my set of books somewhere... I’d recommend for young, young at heart, and fairytale lovers of all kinds. It’s a very sweet series with a lot of heart.

Very cute Middle School appropriate book.

The Frog Princess is a very cute story that would be age appropriate for elementary school or middle school children. I even enjoyed it as an adult with a child's heart.
