They took his family. What will he sacrifice to get them back?

Charlie Haynes is out of his depth. Magic is real. Demons are real. And he has the scars to prove it.

Three months after a harrowing demonic battle that almost cost him his life, Charlie is still plagued by nightmares. Worse still, he's being forced to work with a secret organisation hiding supernatural creatures from humans. When his family is abducted, it becomes clear the kidnappers want something Charlie has, an object that could destroy the veil between two realities.

Unsure of who he can trust, Charlie sets out to find his family. But in a world full of monsters, does the aging ex-detective have what it takes to find them? And what will it cost to get them back?

A warning: The Fractured Few contains scenes of violence and strong language, that some listeners may find distressing.

Absolutely captivated by this. A wonderfully crafted story containing all the active ingredients for a heart-warming or, depending on your outlook, bone-chilling fayre. There is genuine word craft here and as an Irishman, the Seanachaí is as important as the tale, so the excellent enhanced narration added an extra layer to this wonderful piece. I impatiently await the next one. Hopefully many more.

The second story in The Brimstone Chorus, this is an excellent story with brilliant characters and an enjoyable tale. It is well read, and the narrator suits the story. In chapter 2 the background music is a little loud, but doesn't detract from the telling.

excellent story and series

Having read book 1. I happily started on book 2 and was delighted, not only by the excellent narration but by world created by the sound effects.
The storyline followed smoothly from book 1 . A world of demons, written and made believable by the author.
Looking forward to the next in the series.
