Leo is the enforcer for the local Mafia boss. The two meet at a wedding and although there is an attraction they walk away. Months later Rosa's brother has gotten himself in very deep water with another Mafia family, Rosa turns to her friend, married to Leo's boss, for help.
What comes next is an arranged marriage and a forced move to another city to save Rosa's brother. While Rosa and Leo arrange the marriage that puts her family firmly under the protection of the Mob a series of betrayals, secrets and lies are hell bent on destroying it all. This is another fabulous read from Tara, the whole series has been a joy to read. Mafia and all it's hidden crimes but without all the darkness that often takes over a story. This is a standalone but you will enhance your experience by going back to The Thief and The Broker where you will meet many of the characters in this story. If you love strong and mysterious men and the sassy and stronger women that bring them to their knees, you are going to love this
