Summary

A down on his luck man. An international drug runner. One last chance to be the good guy.

Michael Falau is a man of many talents unfortunately none of them translate to the normal world. Day to day life is nearly impossible with the horrors of his past and the guilt of the things he has done.

All of that is about to change with an offer from an old friend Tyler who asks him to get back into the game of underworld justice. An international drug runner out of Bogotá, Colombia has been mixing the deadly carfentanyl into his drug shipment killing hundreds of people up and down the east cost of the United States.

Michael Falau will get one chance to bring "The Butcher" back to face justice or he will die trying.

From the acclaimed author Mike Gomes comes The Fixer. An adult thriller with characters so real it will feel as if they come to life. If you love Jack Reacher, John Milton, and Jason Bourne then you will love Michael Falau.

Disappointing

Failed to notice this was a short story when I bought it. If it had been a full-length book some of the very odd plot holes might have been filled in. Narrator did his best with poor material. Did not enjoy.

Terrible plot and poor writing.

Think I could have put together a better story line. It was far too simplistic

A Good Start

This is a good start to a new series, although I think it would have been better if the story was a bit longer. There are a few plot holes that could've been taken care of with a bit more story. I enjoyed hearing the tale of Falau and his struggles. There's action, adventure, suspense and drama. Can a man down on his luck with way too much baggage become the good guy he once was? I look forward to the next installment to see how this progresses. The narration was wonderfully done by Adriel Cenna-Carr. He really brought the characters and story to life. His range for voices is awesome and found myself getting caught up in the story rather than doing a few things I should have. :) Anyway, a great start to a new series and I hope there's more soon.

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Author has a great story line going here!

I liked the story quite well. It will keep you interested throughout the whole book and leave you wanting to get on to the rest of the series! The narrator does a bang up job of bringing the characters to life!

Falau Files are not stop action and adventure

Just discovered this book, author, and series. The first book was great and provides a lot of the back story while also getting right into the action. I think this character and series would make a great movie or series on cable, Netflix, or Amazon.

Pronounce Bogota correctly next time

The name of the capital city of Colombia is pronounced Bo-go-taa. The constant wrong pronunciation took a bit off the generally good reading.
