Summary

The first book, The Rose Diary, is a roller-coaster of suspense, and this one will take you on an even wilder ride.

In book one, we learn that Jacky's sister, Sandra, has been murdered by poison. A series of paranormal experiences lead to the arrest of someone Jacky has never really been fond of. But is that the real murderer?

This exciting second book takes you through twist after twist and keeps you guessing. A ghost story, murder mystery, and courtroom drama, this audiobook is fantastically fun.

No please let there be more

I just loved the two books that make up this great story and with the ending I hope it means there is going to be more to come, as I will definitely be keeping an eye out. I spent the whole book trying to work out who the killer was and like the main character I think I ended up suspecting everyone. This book wasn't quite so emotional for me (no tissues needed this time) but it is still very compelling and had me hooked so much so that I got cross when interrupted. It is hard to find the one thing I really liked about the story as I liked it all, the characters, the plot, the courtroom drama and even the ghostly hauntings.
With her best friends brother arrested for the murder of her sister, Jacky and her best friends are mounting there own defence for Eric. The problem is even with ghostly help being thirteen is kind of a roadblock, how do you follow a car when you can't drive? Or how do you get adults to take you seriously? There are a few advantages to being an amateur sleuth and one of those is you have no problem getting in with the mean girls of the school but the biggest advantage is the ghost who wants her murder solved. If you can only get her to communicate with you.
I liked the narrator and thought with her laid back style she added to the tension.

The second book takes you on a rollercoaster ride of guess who killed Sandra and the outcome wasn’t who I expected it to be.
The book ended as if there could be more books about Jacky and he ghost detective skills I really hope there will be more .

2 PART REVIEW

This is part 2 of the rose dairy,

Performance - Again the narrator did a good job in portraying the young sister, voice quality was clear, narration speed was good.

Story - In the ending of 1st audiobook Sandra tells jacqueline that Eric is innocent and to save him for the law. This audiobooks is in continuation to that. With the help of friends jacqueline search for various aspect of her family members and comes to some revelation that will change the direction of the case. Listen to get more info.

I give my thanks the the narrator and author to give me both audiobooks for review and avoiding any cliffhanger situation for me.

Great YA Mystery

I am a 66 year old woman but I loved listening to this book. The voice actress had the young voice of the heroine and did a great job. I was wondering how a man could write so well about the feelings and attitude of a young rebellious teen girl. Then I saw it was co-written with a woman too...

A great story, gripped me and pulled me into the world of this young girl who lost her sister and was then angry with the world.

Recommended.

Although I initially had a hard time with the age of the main characters, felt like i was reading a Jr High book, the story was excellent and the ending not foreseen. I'm actually hoping the story continues.

Who done it?

This like all books I read, I wish I had read book 1. It would have given me a little more background. This book has a lot of mystery. Who killed Sandy? The ending is surprising. I like that in a book. I think I would have given it 5 stars if I had read book 1.

Who Did It?

The Final Chapters of the
Rose Diary
: Curtis Maynard

This novel continues on from where the Rose Diary left off. The girls and the young lady lawyer are working to free Eric. There are many twists and turns as the story

develops. The surprises through the story are interesting. The ending was a bit unexpected.

There were several instances where closer editing would have helped. The visit to Sugar's locker was said to be Sandra's locker. During trial said day Eric died

instead of night Sandra died. I'm not sure if I missed more. If the listener can overlook these then not too bad.

The narration was well done. The characters were well portrayed by Jess Combs.

Excellent Rose Diary Conclusion!

Rose Diary is outstanding and I enjoyed every minute of it. This book picks up where the first book left off. There are so many twists and turns I did not see coming! I absolutely loved this book!

Narration was excellent and brought the story to life.

This is by far one of my favorite paranormal mysteries I have ever read. My guesses were way off! This is a hard book to put down. The story kept me entertained from beginning to conclusion.

It was an outstanding book that left the door open for a series (I hope). The conclusion was awesome!
The authors did an outstanding job creating great characters and an amazing story.

The Final Chapters of The Rose Diary

A stunning conclusion! The twists and turns kept me guessing and I love the added paranormal aspect. The door has been left open for future cases and adventures and I would definitely be interested is seeing what could come.

The authors did a great job of keeping the characters realistic and down to earth. The storyline was great, and I certainly did not see that ending coming!

Jess Combs delivered a great performance. She really captured the personalities of the characters.
