Summary
Lust. Mystery. Betrayal.
Weston Cavendish. My brother's best friend. I'd perfected the art of pretending that I didn't want him, that he didn't affect me every time he was near.
Or so I thought.
When his world comes crashing down, I'm the one he turns to, and I can't deny my feelings any longer.
I know there's something between us.
Until he finds out that I've been hiding things from him, too.
Broken and betrayed, can we pick up the pieces and work together to expose the truth?
The odds are stacked against us.
But I won't give up without a fight.
The Fight in Us is a stand-alone story but is best enjoyed after the previous three books in the series. This mature new adult romance may contain triggers for some listeners.

Loved Weston and Leena
Title: The Fight in Us
Author: Becca Steele
Format: Audio
Narrators: Kelli Tager, Gregory Salinas
Genre: Romance, suspense, best friend's sister/brother's best friends
Standalone: Yes
Part of a Series: The Four book 4
POV: Leena, Weston
Steam Level: Toasty
4.5/5
The Fight in Us is the fourth book in Becca Steele's The Four series. While you don't need to have read the first trilogy in this series, some events are referenced. In this book Leena, Weston and the other members of The Four take on the dog-fighting ring that is mentioned but not resolved in the first trilogy. In The Fight in Us secrets are revealed and we find out who Mercury is (although I guessed who this person was earlier). I loved getting to know more of Leena and enjoyed the cameo from characters in Trick Me Twice. I enjoy when authors write in the same world so we get to see previous characters continuing their HEAs. Becca Steele does great with Leena's backstory, her actions when something happened and how Weston, once aware, was always checking in and taking care with his actions. I loved this story and can't wait for Cassius and Zade to fall.
I received this audiobook for free from Audiobook Obsession and Pink Flamingo Productions. This is my honest and voluntary review.

A great listen!
I received this audiobook at my request via promo code from The Flock and this is my honest voluntary review.
This is book 4 following our crowd at Alstone College. The story of Weston Cavendish, one quarter of the 4 (Caiden, Zayde, Cassius being the others) and his best friends little sister Lena was hinted at during Caiden and Winter's previous tale but now we finally get to delve into their connection. I, personally love the Big Brothers Bestie trope, and the mystery in the first three books was good enough that I trusted Becca to make this just as enthralling. Their connection was downright adorable, all the team detecting when they figure out they are after the same person. I loved how West sought Lena out for comfort when he felt betrayed after the life grenade of secrets he discovered. I really enjoyed the cameos of the characters from Trick Me Twice in this book.
Brilliant narration by both Kelli Tager and Gregory Salinas in this audio.

What an intense and incredible book. Becca Steele is one of the authors that I now cant wait to read. She builds characters that are so enjoyable and twisted and just everything I wanted in a character.
There is also so much to be said for the narration choices there is so much personality that is given to each character, so many emotions were highlighted. Just brilliant

Loved Wes he my favourite!
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
I wanted Weston story since I read the first book in this series cause I was just drawn to his character.
I loved his relationship with Lena and I had a feeling about the secret and I was right. I loved how it all played about and how all the others where in it.
At first I thought Z not in it enough but then he came in and I was like get in we get some juicy detail about him. Plus I knew we wouldn’t get as much as Caiden best friend.
I loved Winter even more and I want more Kinslee, I hoping she gets a book! I can’t wait for Cassius and Zayde story.
Loved the audio for this one!

My Thoughts on The Fight in Us
I was so so excited for this book, and it did not disappoint. Weston and Lena! Two extremely smart and oh so loveable characters. But with so much more to them than expected. This book truly showed me more of them and I loved it. I also just really loved them together. The whole best friend’s little sister/older brother’s best friend thing worked for them. And their shared past was like the icing on the cake. The storyline itself was interesting too. The suspense and mystery that was going on and how it brought Weston and Lena and some of their hidden secrets to light was well done. And of course, I loved seeing more of The Four. I cannot wait for Cassius and Zayde’s stories. And I can only hope that Gregory Salinas and Kelli Tager continue on as narrators because they really have given excellent performances in each book so far.

Weston's story was everything I didn't know I wanted, this suspense romance had me hooked and reading just like all the books from the series. I love how he gets together with Lena, I really wanted that for them. His story is one I really wanted to know, how the secrets will pan out for him and their repercussions with The Four. I enjoyed it so much Lena's backstory, I am so loving this series, I can't wait to find Cassius and Zayde's story! Kelli Tager and Gregory Salinas did such an amazing job narrating the series. Definitely, one I recommend of all bully, enemies to lovers romance lovers.

The Fight in Us is outstanding
Weston stole Lena’s heart when she was only eight years old he was her brothers friend and the boy she wanted to notice her.She even took up some of his same interests in hopes it would bring them closer and now it is finally about to.When he turns to her after being dealt a earth shattering blow she so badly wants to be the one to help him.But what will happen when he learns the secrets she has been keeping from him?Now those threaten to take everything she has ever wanted… This spellbinding tale will pull you right in and have you completely wrapped up in its words in a matter of moments.Secrets and lies are being unearthed and lives are being destroyed by them and Lena can’t help but feel at fault for some of it.All she wanted to do was capture the attention of the boy she loved for so long. But the secrets she has been keeping have destroyed all that’s been built between them. With Weston barely hanging on by a thread and falling deeper into a whiskey bottle she can’t help but want to save him.But will he accept her help after everything she brought to the light. This is a slow burn romance, one that takes a lot of patience and forgiveness to take root before it can bloom.Weston and Lena have a huge wedge between them and he isn’t so willing to mend fences. While she meant well her actions completely hurt him and he isn’t really in a place to forgive. The life he knew was wrapped up in deception and he doesn’t really know who he can trust right now.But Lena isn’t willing to give up so easily.she wants him and she is willing to do whatever it takes to prove that to him.The narrators did such a wonderful job telling this story. They did an excellent job bringing Weston and Lena to life.I highly recommend everyone to check this book out.

Oh West!!!
****AUDIOBOOK REVIEW****
The fight in us is West and Lena’s story and one I had been waiting for.
West has always had my attention but I wasn’t prepared for the secrets and heartbreak.
This story is one of my favorites by Becca. It’s steamy and combustible!
The narration by Kelli Tager and Gregory Salinas was spot on perfection. They really bring these characters to life and get emotions across well through their voices.

What he doesn’t know is she’s been in love with him since they were kids.
Working to uncover some things for his Dad, Weston ends up working with Lena, on her project to uncover info on a dog fighting ring. Things get hot, and tense.

The Fight in Us
I loved this book. This is the fourth book in The Four series. The first three books are about Winter and Caiden's relationship building. This book is about Weston and Lena. Lena is Cassius sister and Weston is Caiden's brother. Their relationship was almost considered a forbidden romance. I need Cass's and Z's stories next. I would suggest to read/ listen to Trick Me Twice before this book. Kelli Tager and Gregory Salinas did a fabulous job narrating!

Great continuation!
I am enjoying this series by Becca Steele. Loved this standalone within the series. The storyline was great! We got the story on the dog fighting ring, a perfect romance between Lena and Weston, and the continuation of the lives of all the characters. I couldn't pause it! I can't wait for what's next!!
Kelli Tager and Gregory Salinas are excellent narrators. The book rolls like a movie in my head. Perfect performances!

Outstanding Story! Gripping & Entertaining 🎧📚🎧
I am loving this series, the first three books were awesome, they are mainly Caiden and Winter’s story but the secondary characters and support cast played major roles in their story and I was happy to see they were getting their own books too. Becca Steele has become one of my favorite authors, she has a wonderful writing style and creates stories that are easy to get lost in and forget everything else going on around you. Her descriptive details bring you right into the story along side the character, not only giving you an inside view of what is in their mind but she also makes you care about them and maybe even fall a little in love with them. This book is Weston and Lena’s story, I adored Weston from the very start, he is Caiden’s younger brother, he is a techie and computer geek, he is also not as dark and intense as his older brother and does not have the same alphatude as him. Lena is Cassius’ younger sister, she has crushed on Weston from the first time they met, the four were playing together and he went to talk to her and started to play with her, she was eight years old at the time. Nothing ever came of their relationship, he was her older brothers best friend and she was off limits because of that. But things started to change, he started to realize how he felt about her but then his world gets turned upside down after finding out secrets that were kept from him. And if that was not enough more mind-blowing secrets were uncovered and he winds up pushing everyone away. He felt betrayed and could not handle it, but when Lena freaks out about something his action shows he still cares. Weston was working on trying to uncover info on a shady employee at Alstone Holdings, turns out Lena who was looking into illegal activity finds out the same person has his hands in it. When she approaches Weston about it the two join forces to find out more information. I loved how everything plays out in this book, the story is cleverly plotted and is captivating from start to end. It contains all the feels and has a perfect balance of romance, drama, mystery, thrilling suspense and heartfelt emotions. There is great character growth, it was great to learn more about these two characters, the ordeal Lena went thru was heartbreaking, but I admired her strength to overcome it, Weston showed how much heart he has in the way he handled it when she told him about it. It was great to see the four together again, I am looking forward to Cassius and Zayde’s story. Becca Steele thank you for another awesome story and emotional rollercoaster ride.
🎧📚🎧 Kelli Tager and Gregory Salinas are versatile voice artists and entertaining storytellers. They continue to do an awesome job bringing these characters and their story to life, giving each their own distinct voice, accent included, making it easy to follow and tell who is who. They took each role and made it their own with the complete understanding of each character they portrayed. Kelli Tater played the perfect Lena, she brought out all her strength, as well as all her emotions, Gregory Salinas did the same for Weston. Their narration enhanced an already amazing story to another level. Their voices and performances complemented each others and it was a pleasure to listen to them. Thank you for another awesome listen🎧

The Fight in Us
The Fight In Us is book four in The Four series. This book is Weston and Lena's story. This book is told from dual points of view, which I really like. One thing I really liked is in the beginning this book gave a little summary of what happened in the first three books.
Lena is Cassius's sister and Weston is his best friend. Cassius was one of the main characters in the first three books, so we have heard of these characters before. When they were kids Lena had a crush on Weston and it just kept growing as they got older.
Both Lena and Weston are good with computers and work with a secret agency, however, the other doesn't know it. Weston finds out some things about his mother's death and doesn't know whom he can trust anymore. Lena, Weston, and their friends are working to take down a dogfighting ring. Their feelings grow as they are doing this.
Can they save the dogs in time? Will risking their lives be worth it? Will their feelings continue to grow or will Weston feel he has been lied to when he finds out about his mother's death. What happens between Cassius's and Weston's friendship when he finds out about his sister and Weston? I really liked this book, and hope there will be more in the series!
