Summary

Ambitious. Intense. Irresistible.

I never wanted to fall for a man. And definitely not two men.

They tear me apart until I don't know how I'll ever be whole again. Until I'm not sure I want to be. How can I choose between two halves of myself?

The Evolution of Man is the second novel in the USA Today best-selling duet, which begins with Survival of the Richest.

Decadent and devastating

This book chewed me up, spit me out, broke my heart, stomped on it and then found a way to put it all back together. It was hot and sexy, dark and devastating, and I loved every min! Erin Mallon delivered another breathtaking performance. It was raw and passionate. It felt real and natural. I hope that these two do a lot of work together in the future!

Enjoyed this series from Skye Warren

Erin Mallon is a rockstar narrator and this audiobook was just another amazing book done by her.

I listened to the ending several times because I was wanting to know more of what happened to Sutton. And to reconfirm everything that happened in this second book of the duet. I enjoyed it but I loved the first book.

You can never go wrong getting any book by Skye Warren. I read the Endgame series now perhaps I need to listen to it 😍🎧🌟🌟🌟🌟

Emotional!

This was an easy 5 star book for me -- that is, until I got to the end which felt unfinished with too many unanswered questions. It seemed like it needed an epilogue or even a book 3. I did some digging and found that Skye Warren actually did write a bonus epilogue which you should be able to get if you sign up for her newsletter. While the epilogue brought the book from a 4 star back to the 5 star rating that it really deserved, I'm still hoping a book 3 will be written in the future. This duet was intense, emotional and left me on the edge of my seat from beginning to end. Highly recommended!

Erin Mallon is amazing and is one of my favorite narrators.

Emotional Journey!

We finally have the much awaited conclusion to the duet and it was well worth the wait. This story commences six months after Survival of the Richest ended. Harper is torn between Christopher and Sutton and she is also facing a personal loss in her life which has shaken her to the core. These two men are very different with one of them keeping an emotional distance which drives her to the other but like a ping pong ball she bounces back and forth.

Harper has grown so much from the woman we first met, and she knows who and what she wants, and she is not about to settle for less. She ultimately ended up with the right man, but the journey was not without it’s complications.

This is a story a woman who loves two men for very different reasons. It is filled with angst, drama and twists but the ending is so worth the ride. I thought that the narrator did a great job of bringing out all of the emotion of the story.

We may not get what we want, but might get what we need

The Evolution of Man by Skye Warren, narrated by Erin Mallon.
Reviewed for Audiobook Obsession

Sad, intense, disconcerting, emotionally charged and I was wishing for more. The lives of these characters was a jumbled up mess. I was sure they would never find the way out, I’m still not sure they did. The conclusion to me was a little sketchy, there was something missing. Hopefully Skye will comeback with a novella an update. Inquiring minds, I need to know.
Hooray to Erin in her narration, she made you feel the melancholy, the joy all the feelings to inject life into this story.

What a messy triangle

Over all I have to say for me this was an ok read. Some of the things I enjoyed about this audiobook was I really like the narrator and parts of the storyline. The parts of the story that I really enjoyed was the mystery of always being kept on our toes and that it's not just your typical romance story. Some of The things I didn't like about this story was that I felt like the back and forth between the three of them just kept going for a way too long. At a few points I was wondering when the story was going to end. But with that said overall I do think it was an enjoyable story and except for those few dragging spots I would recommend.

This is just what I wanted

The relationship part of this book ended the way I wanted. I was certain it was going to go another way but nope it ended exactly how I wanted. It did bother me not to have an epilogue. I needed the epilogue. I'm hoping for maybe a short to follow or better yet a third book. Please Skye give me an epilogue if not another book. This was a perfect follow up to the first book. The ending did lack details that I wanted to know. I prefer to know exactly what's going. I wanted to know less of how she spent her trust and more where they are in the relationship. It Could be this isn't the end, fingers crossed. As always Erin Mallon killed it.

4 stars

This conclusion went in a different direction than I was expecting, which wasn't a bad thing. This audio was on fire! The only thing I wished was for a longer epilogue. The ending seems to end too soon for me. Erin did a great job.

You find out the truth

I love that I’m this story Harper finds out the truth both in her personal life and also which what she wants to do with the trust fund. Harper had to learn what she wanted was it Christopher’s was it Sutton. I am glad she figured it out. The only thing I can say is that the book left me wanting more. The story still had loos threads to tie up. You should make a book 3. As always the narration by Erin Mallon was spectacular.

Rising from the Rubble

I had no idea where this one was going to go but I had so much fun getting there. This duet was like my favorite addictive reality show. (If you’re thinking I’m too sophisticated for reality tv, girl same I meant chess. But if there is a real housewives of Tanglewood I’m going to devour it.)

There is angst, mind games, buckets of money, power struggles, love triangles, art and civic responsibility (see those last two, I told you it was sophisticated ;) It had me guessing right up till the end.

I can’t wait to revisit this world and these characters. Erin Mallon is a dream narrator and Skye Warren slays the game.

I would recommend this to fans of reality tv and Greek mythology.

Disappointing end to duet

2.5 stars. The first book was so good I was looking forward to this one but I was very disappointed. It was slow and drawn out in some areas and rushed in others. The ending was so rushed and unsatisfying. I was left with so many questions and some things just felt thrown in for drama. There's side character plots that were never resolved. I did love the emotion of Harper's mom.
This book if forgettable, which is unfortunate after such a strong first book.

The audio version is perfectly narrated by Erin Mallon again. Once again, I loved her performance.

Perfect continuation!

This duet did things to my head and heart that I still dont know how to handle! The characters had my head spinning until the very end and for a long time after that. I love the ending that we were given but I have a feeling this story isnt really done yet. Something in the back of my mind keeps telling me that there has to be more! Skye please please please tell me there will be more!!!!!

The narration was yet again AMAZING! Erin did a fantastic job giving each character a unique voice.

PERFECTION! Stunning Conclusion to a Powerful Story

Evolution of Man can share ALL THE STARS with Survival of the Richest!
This was the perfect ending to Harper’s story!

The narration was superb!!

****Be warned I talk about my feelings about the end but I DO NOT USE NAMES!

Did this book shatter me over and over again? YES!

It wasn't until the very end when I was sure who Harper should be with. Both men completed her in some way! This is one of the best love triangles I've ever read!
There was someone that I felt was the constant right choice, but the other was there in the way she needed too!
Skye wrote an emotional story that gave Harper her Happily Ever After with the right man in the way they both needed!!

This one line sums the relationship up perfectly, ”I know with certainty...no other man could have withstood Me.”

I read the bonus epilogue in the email and now I NEED the other man’s story!

What a great ending to a crazy beginning....

OMG!!! Amazing!! This book was the perfect conclusion to this duet. I loved it! A must read! This is the conclusion to Survival of the Richest, Harper’s life is a complete mess and she might even be going a bit crazy as she's confused still. But as she finally has control over her trust she is able to help her mom be comfortable in her last months and buy the library to restore.
as you go along in the story you feel all the emotions right along side all the characters like your right there it is like a roller coaster ride in the best way. But in the end I believe it ended how it was meant to always be and for that i was so happy.

anticlimactic ending

This is my petition to author Skye Warren Where is Sutton? this conclusion didn't bring me the ending I kept hoping, waiting, wanting.

the twist, turns, heated sexy scenes all lead to an ending that fell short for me, one of the Heros just disapears and the other finally declares why he was acting like a bully pulling on the girls pigtails all along confirming what we knew.

Narration was still good no complains it was the story that lacked the punch I was holding for.

Amazing Duet!

This is the second book in the Trust Fund Duet Series. OMG! I love this Duet! The story begins where Survival of the Richest ended. In this story, we learn more about Christopher, Harper and Sutton. I love all about this story: the characters, their chemistry, the amazing story, the sadness, and the hope. Erin Mallon did an outstanding job with the narration. She has a wonderful voice. I enjoyed listening to this audiobook and totally recommend it. #AudiobookObsession

Oh Man! What an ending! This book ran me through the ringer and I am not even mad~ These characters.. I want to hold them... I want to yell at them... I want to be them!. Ok, not really but this book brought me so far in that i feel like i really know them and am completely invested in the outcome. This series is one of the best i have read in some time. Soo many feelings... I love that the characters were not perfect. They were all flawed in their own way and that just endeared them to me.

If you don't see a huge READ ME sign flashing here, use your imagination. You need to read this series.

Erin Mallon absolutely owed this book! She gave an amazing performance that made this amazing book that much better. I don't know what else to say. It was perfection

HIGHLY RECOMMEND
