Summary

Ambitious. Intense. Irresistible.

I never wanted to fall for a man. And definitely not two men.

They tear me apart until I don't know how I'll ever be whole again. Until I'm not sure I want to be. How can I choose between two halves of myself?

The Evolution of Man is the second novel in the USA Today best-selling duet, which begins with Survival of the Richest.

Gut Wrenching in the Best Way Possible

This ending was an emotional roller coaster ride to the Trust Fund Duet! Six months after Survival of the Richest, Christopher, Harper, and Sutton are still stuck in this love triangle. The journey that they all went on was devastating and a beautiful mess, but the message was uplifting and incredible. Harper finally figures out who she is, what she wants, and who she needs to be with. I don’t think I was prepared for all of these emotions, but I loved every minute of the gut wrenching ending! This book was filled with angst, heartbreak, truth, lies, secrets, steam, and so much more.
Erin did a phenomenal job with this narration! She brought every emotion and character to life and wouldn’t let me go with her performance. I was so invested in this book and didn’t want it to end.

One of the best!

I couldn't wait to devour this book. The first left me wanting--no NEEDING--more and so this book couldn't happen fast enough. The narration, the story, the twists and turns are all perfection.

You want to know why Harper feels the way she feels. You want to know the allure, the draw, the desire.

Skye Warren nailed this duet.

EXPLOSIVE! MIND BLOWING!

Skye Warren knocked it out the ballpark with Part 2: The Evolution of the Man. I couldn't sit this one down until I listened to the very end.

Everything played right before my eyes. I could see it, everything that was described, to the smallest detail came to life.

The steamy sexual scenes; WOW, it was HOT, I'm serious. The heat jumped through my speakers and I could feel it.

And, there was one event I did cry, so there is a moment of possible tearjerker. In this novel Harper had to grow up. Her biggest lesson would be; "Who could she trust, Christopher or Sutton?" You have to know eventually there could only be one way for this to have an HEA.

The narrator Erin Mallon who narrated the first book; "Survival of the Richest," also narrated this one and again she did an AWESOME job so, 5-stars to her. Skye, if I could I would have given your writing more than 5-stars. You're an incredible writer and this book proves it. I recommend it to anyone who loves steamy romance, alpha men and strong women to listen to this.

Great Listen

This emotional rollercoaster ride was nonstop and I didn't want it to end. You don't know which team to root for, Christopher or Sutton. Harper is so emotional and with everything that is going on with her mother, she is all over the place. This story will leave you satisfied but wanting more.

Perfect continuation!

This duet did things to my head and heart that I still dont know how to handle! The characters had my head spinning until the very end and for a long time after that. I love the ending that we were given but I have a feeling this story isnt really done yet. Something in the back of my mind keeps telling me that there has to be more! Skye please please please tell me there will be more!!!!!

The narration was yet again AMAZING! Erin did a fantastic job giving each character a unique voice.

The Evolution of Man

This book starts not too far after where the first in this series ended. In this book Harper learns some very important life lessons as well as surviving one of the most difficult things a person could. It is such a struggle to watch the pain that these three go through, but this duet ends with the perfect ending. I loved this series. Both author and narrator went above and beyond what I could have hoped for and then some.

Wow! Trust Fund Duet Book 2

The Evolution of Man by Skye Warren is another intense listen. I loved how this book continued where Survival of the Richest left off. I was blown away by the story. This is a steamy drama featuring Harper, Christopher, and Sutton. I really enjoyed the battle of the past, present and future. Who will Harper pick? The love triangle is so good. The story has sexy times, angst, and twists. Erin Mallon is magnificent in her performance. The emotions she conveys are so realistic, one can feel them. Thank you Audiobook Obsession for this book! I loved it.

Oh Man! What an ending! This book ran me through the ringer and I am not even mad~ These characters.. I want to hold them... I want to yell at them... I want to be them!. Ok, not really but this book brought me so far in that i feel like i really know them and am completely invested in the outcome. This series is one of the best i have read in some time. Soo many feelings... I love that the characters were not perfect. They were all flawed in their own way and that just endeared them to me.

If you don't see a huge READ ME sign flashing here, use your imagination. You need to read this series.

Erin Mallon absolutely owed this book! She gave an amazing performance that made this amazing book that much better. I don't know what else to say. It was perfection

Who will be the chosen one...

As the story goes on on the Evolution of Man, there is still that tough choice to make. It does get rather steamy and the drama intensifies. I like Skye writing, she does it like a pro at romance. It’s gritty and not for the faint of heart. I did like the end, but I wanted more. Maybe there’s another book on the way, perhaps a novella? Anyways, great narration too.

Evolution of Man

3.5 stars for the story. 4 stars for the narration.
I thought this was a good continuation of the story and could still feel angst between and her two men. While I did love the choice made at the end some questions were left unanswered. Would have loved an epilogue. Overall I enjoyed the story.
Great narration again

Confusing Conclusion to the Duet

Overall 2.5 stars
Performance 5 stars
Story 2 stars

When I finished Survival of the Richest, I couldn't wait to dive into this book and find out how Harper, Christopher, and Sutton's story would end. Sadly, I found the conclusion to this duet disappointing.

The story and drama were emotional, but so drawn out. It became repetitive, with all the back and forth and pushing away. I didn't understand what was actually happening a lot of the time and I kept waiting for a big reveal/explanation for all the pain and madness. Unfortunately, it never came. A surprise in the love triangle was also dropped on listeners/readers, but never really explored or resolved. It just made my heart hurt so much for that individual. There were certainly some very steamy scenes, but they couldn't make up for the confusing plot. The ending felt rushed and left me with more questions than answers. Erin Mallon was the only reason I was able to continue on with the story. Her narration was amazing and she conveyed so much feeling in her performance. Both her male and female voices were perfect. I really wanted to love this duet, but sadly this conclusion was a miss for me.

Rising from the Rubble

I had no idea where this one was going to go but I had so much fun getting there. This duet was like my favorite addictive reality show. (If you’re thinking I’m too sophisticated for reality tv, girl same I meant chess. But if there is a real housewives of Tanglewood I’m going to devour it.)

There is angst, mind games, buckets of money, power struggles, love triangles, art and civic responsibility (see those last two, I told you it was sophisticated ;) It had me guessing right up till the end.

I can’t wait to revisit this world and these characters. Erin Mallon is a dream narrator and Skye Warren slays the game.

I would recommend this to fans of reality tv and Greek mythology.

Good book!

This story was just okay for me. Definitely steamy and emotional but in between it didn’t quite grab me.
Although my favorite narration by Erin Mallon are usually RomComs, her narration in this book was absolutely amazing.

Disappointing end to duet

2.5 stars. The first book was so good I was looking forward to this one but I was very disappointed. It was slow and drawn out in some areas and rushed in others. The ending was so rushed and unsatisfying. I was left with so many questions and some things just felt thrown in for drama. There's side character plots that were never resolved. I did love the emotion of Harper's mom.
This book if forgettable, which is unfortunate after such a strong first book.

The audio version is perfectly narrated by Erin Mallon again. Once again, I loved her performance.

What a way to conlude this duet

These three cannot get it together and figure out who they want to be with. This story is packed with so much. There are twists and turns that will keep you guessing and some that will get you on a rollercoaster ride of emotions. I had to really think as I read this book. It was not one that I could multitask and still follow. I like those types of stories. A story that I cannot predict how it will turn out. , one that keeps me on my toes. Christopher, Sutton and Harper need to figure it all out and I felt as if I was a fly on the wall watching them struggle.

Erin Mallon is wonderful for this duet. Having a consistent narrator, made the transition from one book to the next smooth and kept that characters consistent. Ms. Mallon has a variety of tones to keep the characters distinct and easy to follow. Ms. Mallon has an easy to listen to voice and I always get lost in her narration.

3.75 stars

After the ending I have to say I have so many questions. It felt sort of unresolved. There was so much time spent pushing each other away that when they are finally together I didn't connect with their relationship. One person's truth was just put out there and no further explanation or conversation was had. These are the reasons I couldn't rate the story higher. The parts I loved ironically was the parts with her mom which were actually quite sad. Overall 3.75 because I did enjoy the book, I just needed more of them together.

Narration was 4 stars. Erin Mallon does a great male voice.

Sizzling Duet!!

OMG. What a series! This duet took me on a rollercoaster on emotions.

These characters are each so individually flawed. They are each battling their own demons, but equally take it out on and lean into each other. It’s heart wrenching. As the reader you understand most of the whys of why each character has made their life altering decisions but can’t help but want to shake them and try to encourage them that it could be better. They are each their own worst enemies.

That ending. Wow. Just go read this duet.
It’s angst. It’s heat. It’s 🔥🔥🔥🔥
