one of the best sci fi series I've listened to

I was given this free review copy audio book at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

I was excited to be able to continue this space opera saga with another 33 hours of fun listening. It was equally as enjoyable as the first boxed set. The narration is well done and there is a ton of action and story to make the hours blaze by. I would highly recommend this series.

Full of action and adventue...can't miss

Terry Mixon picks up where he left off on Volume 1. These 3 books are full of action, betrayal, treason, assassination attempts and adventure. You will thoroughly enjoy these books and Veronica Giguere does an excellent job in telling the story.

Predictable with glaring plot foreshadowing

Having read and listened to many sci-fi series over the years, this one is very light weight and predictable. Plot twists are foreshadowed so emphatically that even I, someone who is not very creative, can pretty much predict what will happen several chapters (or books) in advance. I've listened to the two box sets (books 1 thru 6) of this series. When you hear about something in the narrative, you just know that what you hear will pop up somehow in a future part of the narrative.. it's really pretty blatant in most cases. One gets the feeling that the author is just stretching out a plot line that could have been put into a single book and milking it for no real reason other than to maximize the number of books in the series. One of the characters is a genius-type nerd who almost magically (gasp... "magic" in a sci-fi book???) comes up with just the right "scientific" development in time to advance the story... and if the reality of the physical universe might impinge upon the author's moving the narrative along, the author is quite willing to quickly skip over (or avoid) such detriments to his plot. One example might be the wildly varying times that ships need to traverse intrasolar distances... one would think at times the speed of light isn't a limiting factor in the author's universe, except for the fact that the author makes such a big deal about how the genius-type nerd develops FTL communication capability. I'm willing to buy something economical (6 books for the Audible cost of two credits), but for the quality of these books, I'm not willing to spend a credit per book.

Very Enjoyable

As I sit here sequestered I found this audible book really helped the kindle books come alive in my mind. The extra bonus audible story at the end was an added bonus.

I initially thought the narrated voice was a little too high pitched for me, but was soon captured by the story and ended up really feeling the voice match the personality of Princess Bandar.

Buying the volume of 3 books at a time was a pleasant benefit to my wallet in-spite of the audible chapters not matching the kindle book. Each time I restarted the reading and narration, I had to spend time re-syncing to the last place read. I admit I complicated the re-sync by changing devices as I moved from den to bedroom.

It could have only been significantly improved if the kindle books were word synced to show the location.

I recommend these books, and this Volume 2 narration.

Great follow up to part 1

Once again Terry Mixon has given us everything, we can expect in a space opera series. Some great characters, with lots of action, and a story you can lose yourself in. It’s a great follow up to the first series of books and I am looking forward to getting the third set shorty.

good continuation

I enjoyed it. I liked volume 1 better than this. Being back on Avalar <excuse spelling> for so much of this volume had me itching for them to go back to space. I am hoping for. volume 3

Womderful

I had not heard of these book until a friend had graciously sent me this and saga 1. Oh had thrilled I am he did. Princess Kelsey is now my Sci-fi hero! The story is complex and exciting and makes a long drive or just listening while working at home both bearable. Veronica Giguere narration is simply spectacular! She brings each character to life.

action adventure

This author knows how to write a good action/adventure book. I loved the humanity unlimited saga and when I say this I thought I had to listen to it. It is different to the other books I have read/listened to and I have to admit that I do like the other series more than this but it was still good.

This is a really good series

Has some romance type chapters but not over bearing. The story is good, the performance is good, and the length is great. These are exactly the type books look for. Solid bang for the book.
