Summary

A guide to the unique power of Vedic meditation to overcome stress and anxiety, helping us to thrive.

Daily life can feel like a fast-paced treadmill, leaving little time to unwind, recharge and do what brings us joy. Meditation is a powerful way to hit the pause button, increase your energy and start to enjoy life more.

The Effortless Mind is renowned meditation teacher Will Williams’ must-have guide for modern-day meditators. Suffering from chronic stress and insomnia, Will undertook years of research and training with leading experts from around the world, which led him to find the cure he was looking for in Vedic meditation.

In The Effortless Mind, Will explains how his Vedic-inspired method of meditation has transformed the lives of his students - all of whom are busy people of all ages and all backgrounds. Their inspiring stories and the scientific research into meditation show the profound physical, mental and emotional benefits you can gain from such a simple daily practice, including more energy, better sleep, greater clarity, less anxiety and a happier outlook on life.

Sale pitch and not a guide!

I am a busy professional, looking for a guide on meditation techniques. What I found was some very unfortunate life stories and a nine hours long sales pitch of meditation course. Some may found the book useful, I found it repetitive and all rather disappointing.

It is indeed the longest sales pitch in the history...

ADVERT FOR AUTHOR

I listened to this for welllover an hour and then gave up. The author rambles on about his personal journey and the people he met .This was of minimal interest and certainly no help at all for the reader on mediitation.

Disappointingly annoying narration

I got 3 hours into this and could stand it no longer. it is a very interesting book which I will probably buy. The narration lets it down with almost every sentence ending in a 'mouth noise'. These consist of swallowing sounds, too much saliva and licking lips. It has become so distracting that I can't listen to any more. I'm pretty sure I don't have misophonia, I think it is just a poor recording
