About this listen

Angelique is forced to wed a monster in exchange for a noble title. The Duke of Annecy is cold and cruelly sadistic, making the young duchess's life a living hell. On a fateful summer night in the lavish palace of Versailles, she meets an exotic courtier whose glittering dark eyes promise more than mere temporary relief from a loveless marriage. Angelique is offered the gift of immortality by the ancient vampire prince, and she accepts it with open arms. From Louis XVI's France and Victoria's England to modern London, The Duchess De Nuit is brimming with lush eroticism, action, and vivid historical details.

Loved the narration of Mary Jane Conlon

We have a strong heroine also suspense, passion. What a vampire story. Not the normal , beautiful girl gets seduced by a vampire, with lots of sex.

It certainly was a tale of lust and blood and the story of Angelique, the beautiful heroine, how she became a vampire and her loves. I started this book and got engrossed until the end, wanting to see how the plot unfolded, and so glad there is a second book which I cannot wait to get my teeth into!! Narrated beautifully too! x
