A must for anyone working in software!

This book is justifiably famous and should be on the reading list of anyone working in software, particularly in any kind of leadership role. You'll need this knowledge behind you if you want to convince the wider business that there's a better way to tackle to process of developing, testing and deploying software. Also, your engineers may need convincing of the merits of the approaches laid out here, and in my view the book does this in the best way possible for winning those arguments: empirically. This isn't just what the authors reckon; the recommendations are backed up with evidence and like any rigorous technical writing, they cite their sources.

The performance is good, but the voice artist could have done with some more support, perhaps from an editor or producer, to make sure the industry terms are pronounced correctly (bearing in mind that we nerds do mangle the English language sometimes). I'm not sure of the merits of reading out un-shortened URIs in full either, especially given that there's an accompanying PDF. But these are niggles, and don't detract from the valuable information being put across.

An absolute must read for anyone in technology

Since all companies are now technology companies, this book is becoming applicable to more and more of us. Particularly useful for engineering team members and for those who lead/ manage/ decide budget for engineering etc.

A worthy update on the original

Gene Kim , Jez Humble , Patrick Debois , John Willis and Nicole Forsgren make a brilliant writing team and have successfully updated and managed to 'improve' upon the original 2018 version of the DevOps Handbook to include important recent developments such as Covid and the resulting remote-working paradigm. Ron Butler does a great job reading and makes 'easy listening' of some relatively complex subjects. Highly recommend if you work in the tech sector.
