It was a good listen,I've heard better but one thing i found surprising is the amount of swearing in the book....I've just never listened to other books with swearing in & although it was fitting i guess within the story line it started to sound odd!The narrative was ok,sometimes takes a while to get used to a new voice...im going to give book 2 a go....see how i get on!

I'd recommend this to anyone looking for a classic haunting/ghost story. If you're looking for some classic literary horror fun, you could do a lot worse than The Demonic.What did you like best about this story?
Mountford's writing is very cinematic. If you close your eyes whilst listening, you'll imagine you're in a James Wan movie.Have you listened to any of Hannibal Hills’s other performances? How does this one compare?
I have not, but this one was pretty good.A literary James Wan movie
