  • Summary

  • It’s not the end of the world…it’s much worse than that.

When the world was supposed to end everyone did things they never normally would…none more so than Siobhan, who wakes up on her floor, hungover, dumped by her no-good boyfriend and with a strange man in her bed…who turns out to be more than a little bit dead.

A comedy thriller that features snappy dialogue, a crunching soundtrack and immersive sound design all set on a university campus that is filled with cold corpses, weird suspects, and the occasional wild hippo. A whodunnit that turns into 'a what the hell did I do?' and ends up asking 'who am I?'

    A Whistledown Production.

Starring Sooz Kempner, Tuwaine Barrett, Juliet Aubrey and Laurely Lefkow. Based on an original idea by series producer Lance Dann and written by Adam Barnard and Sonia Jalaly, with sound design by Simon James, music by Orlando Harrison, and the executive producer was Anishka Sharma.

Utterly bonkers and rather fabulous

There’s something deliciously nuts about this series… like being stuck in someone’s demented fever dream. Not everything works but there’s some terrific writing and laugh out loud delivery, and it’s a slick and entertaining package overall. Well worth hearing.

Fun freebie

Cliche after cliche cringeworthy lines, but it made me giggle and there was a vague plot to hold it together.

Loved the prime ministers speech, just classic Boris.

Funny as hell

Very funny. I really enjoyed this original idea and the characters were brilliantly engaging. The acting was spot on and above all I laughed ! Would recommend

I like the title....

Sadly I only managed to listen up to the beginning of part 3...

I was intrigued by the title. I usually enjoy "End of the World" stories. The opening episode was interesting the 2nd episode did not go anywhere significantly and by the third episode I gave up halfway through I could not even be bothered to see it through to the ending.

The writing tried to be a parody of doomsday trope with a humorous slant and failed. I laughed once at the bumbling Prime Ministers announcement. Obviously taken from the real COVID19 shambles, In a real life context that was totally laughable but NOT in a good way. However in the story it did provide the only laugh out loud moment.

Having missed the mark for humour, the story could have been redeemed had it generated any feelings for the characters and their situation. Non of them were memorable and they just appeared to be a lot of whining idiots.

Personally I wish I had picked something else to listen to from the plus catalogue.

I do award full marks for it being FREE. Had I purchased this I definitely would have returned it,

Giggle worthy!

Fun little podcast that doesn't take itself too seriously. Well acted with enough of a storyline to keep me listening.

Lighthearted Romp

The fact that I binge listened this story means that I thoroughly enjoyed this.

It was a light-hearted, easy listen, low-fi sci-fi, mystery. I found the writing and the performances to be very good.
