Summary

The god Apollo, cast down to earth and trapped in the form of a gawky teenage boy as punishment, must set off on the second of his harrowing (and hilarious) trials. He and his companions seek the ancient oracles - restoring them is the only way for Apollo to reclaim his place on Mount Olympus - but this is easier said than done. Somewhere in the American Midwest is a haunted cave that may hold answers for Apollo in his quest to become a god again...if it doesn't kill him or drive him insane first.

Standing in Apollo's way is the second member of the evil Triumvirate - a Roman emperor whose love of bloodshed and spectacle makes even Nero look tame. To survive the encounter, Apollo will need the help of a now-mortal goddess, a bronze dragon, and some familiar demigod faces from Camp Half-Blood. With them by his side, can Apollo face down the greatest challenge of his 4,000 years of existence?

Great.

I am gutted that I have to wait for the next book. It's a great story, and a strong follow up to the series.

Amazing

Hallarious !😀 good length. Make sure you have read the previous or it will not make sence. Also helps if you have read Percy Jacksons and heros of Olympus

It's not the same

I have always been a big fan of Rick Riordan, which is probably the only reason that I read this book. I am slowly realizing that I am no longer in the recommended age group for his writing anymore, and this was probably a testimony to that. I will forever love the Percy Jackson and the Heroes of Olympus series, but this book did not hit home in the same way. If you are in middle school or younger please disregard this, but if you like me are still riding the Percy Jackson wave, I'm sorry to say that this will never live up to the quests with Percy, or the Argo II seven.

Good as always🤩

I loved the narrator in this book, the structure of the book was really good. Also, the unpredictability of Meg was very interesting . To describe this book in one word would be: gripping

🤩Yes!🤩

This is the most amazing sequel ever. Most as Apollo being a mortal, and meg the ‘raggamuffin dumpster queen’ enjoy their new adventures, There are lots more characters involved, old and new, more enemies, allies and friends to be made and waaay more funny puns and quips too! Very enjoyable! Five stars! I’d recommend reading the first one though. The book will make a lot more sense. 🤪 Bye!
