I spent most of my life feeling dead inside—until I met Peter Pan and the Lost Boys.

It wasn't until Pan and Neverland that I finally felt alive.

But things are not all full of magic and sunlight on the island. There's something darker and more sinister haunting the forest.

And worse, the fae queen and Captain Hook are ready to fight for control of Neverland and they will stop at nothing to get what they want.

War is brewing—can the Never King get his shadow back and assume his rightful throne? And if he does, where will I fit?

Or will all of Neverland be in jeopardy right along with my dark, twisted heart?

NOTE: The Dark One is book two in the Vicious Lost Boys series. It is a dark reimagining of Peter and Wendy. If you like your enemies-to-lovers romance with hot, ruthless, morally gray love interests, you’ll enjoy The Dark One. You can expect an island with darkness and secrets and no true hero in sight, with a found family atmosphere, and "touch her and I’ll unalive you" vibes. The Dark One ends on a cliff-hanger.

Fun read. Check the trigger warnings and you should be good. Liked this story's male lead a little more than the one in the first book (unattainable, brooding, hard to catch and all). Story line is not spectaculair, just as the first book but still an enjoyable read/listen.

Just as good as book one

This is a surprisingly enjoyable reverse harem Peter Pan retelling with some truly delicious spice. Not an incredible story, but definitely enjoyable enough.

The only gripe I have is WHY on earth would you get a narrator who can't pronounce his 't's, 'v's or 'th's?!? Every time his parts of the story came up it irritated me so much I couldn't enjoy it. Audible, you need far better quality control on your audiobooks.

Spicy Peter Pan. What's not to like?

Amzing story telling and build up making you want to carry on the series immediately

Fantastic twist on Peter Pan

I'm loving this new wrist to the story of Peter pan, however they are over far too fast for my liking, I've never known 5 hours of my life pass so quickly as they do when listening to these books.
I'm eager for the next one but I think this might be one of those series where I have to wait till its completed as need to listen to them all in one go.
they are well worththe credit, I just wish the books were longer.

these books finish far too fast

I didn't enjoy the story as much in this one. It seemed like it was much more of an excuse for s€x in the book. That's fine, I enjoy that too, I just prefer a good storyline along side of it.🤷🏻‍♀️

I did like that Vane seemed to show more tender emotions than perhaps he's comfortable with.😍

I again loved the narrating group!👏👏
