Wonderful trilogy, captivating and riveting listen

A simply wonderful trilogy, captivating read that is thrilling and exciting
Taken – Book 1, Tamed Book 2, Entwined Book 3

This is a wonderful read that I thoroughly enjoyed the stories were so very well written and the characters are complex and so well written that you cannot help but be totally transfixed by this wonderful story compilation.

Because I do not want to give away too much about the books, I have only given a brief overview as I do not want to spoil anything for prospective readers, this is because I want to ensure that you have as enjoyable a read as myself.

These books are wonderful plots and the actual interaction between the captor and the hostage is complex and it all supports the intense feel of the story as the plot develops and you will be like myself totally drawn into the book and you will be like myself and find that once you start listening to this book it is impossible to stop.

I have been fortunate in the fact that I actually read this series in Kindle format prior to actually listening to the book in audio format and I must say that this presentation is absolutely wonderful. The characters that are doing the audio for this book are simply wonderful, the relationship between each of the actual speaker work so well and they really do draw you into the stories completely.

It also is wonderful because having the books in audio format allows you to listed to the book in your car, in bed relaxing or when you just do not feel like reading. I assure you that this collection will I am sure encourage you to listen to more books in this manner.

I voluntarily received and review an Advanced Audio Copy
I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the great writing.

So intense!

This audio of all three books in Dark Necessities series, is an intense rendition of a long, compelling series. With Connor and Molly on a long, ncredible journey to find themselves, and each other, we travel with them via the narration of Peter Kenyon. There 'love' affair has faced so much, not least of which was Connor's past and Molly's impulse to please. Both need to be more, if there is to be any hope of a future.
I enjoyed this audio very much, though there were times, especially at the start, that I was not totally convinced by the narrator who could be a bit shouty' for me. I settled in as I got deeper into the story and was heartened to see Molly become stronger. A good listen 💖💖💖💖

Not my thing

This is all the books within a trilogy
I like dark romance, however this just wasn't for me yet at the same time I was compelled to continue listening to the book.
It didn't have much storyline beyond the kidnapping of a author and what occurs afterwards in lots of scenes which I didn't find erotic or romantic. The scenes content were not to my taste either.
I didn't really like the narration either, the British accent was poor and seemed to change at times. I'd read some bits of the book and the narrator just didn't come across how I'd envisioned it in the book.
The second book followed the same themes as the first to a certain extent, but it did start to give a little background to Conner and the syndicate was mentioned but not much said about it. It is slowly starting to develop a bit more of a storyline other than the characters of Connor and Molly.
I found the end to to better, it had more storyline than just the erotic scenes in the first book. More information about the syndicate as well, as Connor and Molly try to work a way to get their happy ending.
I also found the narration had gotten better.

Wow

Wow I really didn’t realize what I was getting myself into listening to this series. Book one Taken left me absolutely speechless. As a situation unfolded that would have been scary beyond belief. Book two was called Tamed and in this book a lot of things happen and I think both Connor and Molly become Tamed in this book. Book three Entwined takes things to another level again and sees our characters change. If I really start talking about this series I’m going to want to drop spoilers galore.

I will put a warning that this series may have triggers for some people and may not be to others liking.

Overall I did enjoy the series and look forward to listening to more from Felicity Brandon

Dark Emotions

It took me a while to listen to this audiobook, not because it was bad, but because it was the darkest thing I have heard. I kept coming back because the story actually drew me in. It made me question myself and the different types of relationships that exists. The more I listened to how Conner commanded Molly and her reactions and responses the more I questioned my reaction to this book. By the end of the audiobook, I found out that I actually like this type of dark bondage book, because it made me feel. At first it was hard to hear, but now I am completely onboard. I will buy other books by Felicity Brandon because it is interactive, it pushes my buttons, and woke my body up. I requested this audiobook in exchange for an honest review because I have never heard this type of story, but I am a new fan. I am also a fan of the narrator Peter Kenyon's sexy, emotive voice. You must give this book a listen and try something new. You just may fall in love.

Sensual and Riveting

The trilogy is dark, sensual, and deliciously intense, leaving my heart pounding, wondering what will be next. The storyline is riveting, suspenseful, unpredictable, gritty, hot, and utterly gratifying. Felicity Brandon has broken boundaries with her phenomenal character development. Conner is highly complex, to some degree, psychopathic, and the definition of anti-hero. Molly is the perfect woman for him, ultimately taming the untamable.

Peter Kenyon did an excellent job with the narration, capturing the nuances of the characters' personalities along with the chemistry. The Dark Necessities is a well-written and riveting dark romance, one I highly recommend.

Not impressed

If you are writing a book where the lead character is a writer and 'wonderful wordsmith' it helps to have at least some of that quality yourself. Peter Kenyon did a good job considering the poor material, he didn't laugh once, and I found myself feeling for the narrator more than I did about the characters in the book.
Dear Ms Brandon, please buy a dictionary and thesaurus. I counted the use of sardonically 6 times in one paragraph (also please learn that sardonically and sarcastically are not interchangeable). I got sick of hearing about orbs (eyes) and at one point breasts were described as 'hung perkily' - erm hang is down and perky implies up. My preoccupation with the, frankly awful, writing shows how little I was engaged with the narrative, which became increasing bizarre as the plot of one book was stretched to three. I can't tell you if there was a satisfactory conclusion as I did not make it to the end. I think that repackaging this as a drinking game would make more sense (take a slug everytime you hear/read a particular word or cliché) than trying to sell it as a novel. By about 10 pages in you would be so smashed that you wouldn't care that the plot was ludicrous and didn't made sense. I can only think that this was the use made of the book by the writers of the rave reviews that I read before downloading. Returning.
