About this listen

Over the last 22 years, Robert Greene has provided insights into every aspect of being human, whether that be getting what you want, understanding others' motivations, mastering your impulses or recognizing strengths and weaknesses. The Daily Laws distills that wisdom into daily entries.

Each entry delivers refined and concise wisdom from one of his books, in an easy-to-digest lesson that will only take a few minutes to hear, as well as a commandment - a prescription or prompt for the listener to follow.

Not only is the The Daily Laws the perfect entry point for those new to Greene's penetrating insight but it will also help the many Greene fans throughout the world to understand and internalize the many lessons that fill his books. It is a guide to a lifetime of understanding and re-understanding power, seduction, strategy, psychology and human nature.

I'm getting all I want and more from this book.

The other review has no idea what they're talking about as this book essentially is a summation of all of Robert Greenes prior books.

Narration is fantastic, also.

The best possible summary of all of his work

The book is evidently well written. I love Robert Greene’s way of conveying his message. The book touches upon subjects such as psychology (narcissism, empathy, emotional mastery…etc) and philosophy (meditation, non-duality, cultivating true power). The book is generally fantastic especially if you are trying to craft your mind to a higher state of being and transcend your overall outlook on reality. Definitely a book to read/listen if your aim is to take full responsibility of the totality of your being.

Beautiful work of art.

Pretty good. Somewhat useful reminders. But I think bookmarking and revisiting the main books is better… not sure I learned much or needed the repetition

Pretty good. But if you paid attention to other books, not much here

If you've heard of Robert Greene, chances are that it's either been very positive or very negative. His book "The 48 Laws of Power" has been very controversial in some arenas, with some people saying that it could empower bad actors, and considering it better off banned (so much for "free speech"). However, Greene himself has said that he wrote the book to help people understand how the world really works and to help people root out and deal with bad actors (be it at work, in business dealings, everyday life, or wherever)!

Greene has also written many other books, including on how to become a master of your chosen craft, seduction, and, his largest to date, on human nature.

I don't know how, but he managed to distill his vast array of writings into a book of brief "daily laws" that can be read while you drink your morning coffee and be pondered on throughout the day. Most readings take a minute or so, yet they can leave you thinking for months afterwards.

The book is arranged into sections e.g. with January to March teaching you how to find your purpose in life and work on becoming a master. Other sections include how to navigate the murky waters of society and human relationships, how to look inside yourself and deal with your "shadow", strategy, and the book finishes with a more abstract section on the "sublime".

Critical thinking is an essential element of maturity, but it's lacking in most people. On this note, it's best to read Greene with a "critical" mindset, rather than just accepting everything he says as gospel. You probably won't agree with everything he says. However, you can also learn how to think critically from this book, instead of seeing everyone around you as always having your best interests at heart.

The narration is excellent, and it even includes cameos from Greene himself!

Excellent Selection of Some of Greene's "Laws"
