The Creed is post-apocalyptic short story.
Deo, patriae, familia. God, country, family.
In a world ravaged by nuclear war and tyrannical governments, these words bear no weight for most people. But for some, these words and this creed mean everything. It’s why they live. Why they fight. When one of them is threatened, they’re all threatened, and they’ll all willingly put their lives on the line to protect and honor these three simple words that unite this group of survivors.
An introduction to a new series as could only be told by the best-selling author W.J. Lundy and A.J. Powers.
©2019 Wilford Lundy; A.J. Powers (P)2019 Wilford LundyIn a post-apocalyptic world Benjamin has found in a small village a new home. The group of people there has a creed which keeps them going: Deo, patriae, familia or God, country, family.
Tonight they are out to fight until their last breath, because one of them has been kidnapped and they are about to infiltrate the hospital where she is held hostage.
Benjamin is very scared and he feels sick and weak. He has been part of minor battles before, but nothing this serious. Can he find the strength and go through with it?
Narration:
Andrew B. Wehrlen is a super narrator. I've listened to him before and always enjoy it.
Overall:
Gripping from the first second to the last and a super narration, I loved to listen to The Creed. The only thing that bothered me, there's no explanation, why the girl was taken.
