Devastated, Judy is nonetheless determined to make the best of her life. Resolving to forget about Jack, she battles to keep her family from poverty’s door and her mother from the hands of her violent husband.

Rob Dorning, the new owner of the manor, seems to be the answer to all of Little Creek’s problems, but Judy isn’t convinced. And when the ghosts of her past resurface, Judy will need to find more courage than ever before…

Loved this story and I do hope that Dilly Court will write a sequel to let us know what happens next. It was read so well, as usual, by Annie Aldington.

An enjoyable story with a big surprise thrown in when you're 3/4 into the story. Other people are more talented than me with regards to describing the storyline. All I can say is that, if you enjoy Dilly Court, you'll love this book. If you don't know the author yet, please be advised that this is the 3rd book in the series. The first book is The Christmas wedding, and the second A village scandal. The books flow nicely into each other, and it would be a shame if you miss out on the first two.

Annie Aldington is such a talented narrator!

A romance to take you out of this world to times past, a time of struggle and family feud, but then joy comes to lift everyone. A love story to warm the heart. A great listen

The 3rd book in this trilogy didn't disappoint, even if the ending was fairly predictable from early on. I felt it was perhaps a little rushed at the end, but overall I thoroughly enjoyed all 3 books and disappointed to have finished!

Sad to have finished this trilogy!
