Summary

When a horribly murdered body is found in a cable car in a beautiful mountain setting, the State Police and Carabinieri swing into action to identify the victim and proceed to ensnare the culprit. Unfortunately for them, they cannot even establish the identity of the victim, let alone catch the killer. With grave reluctance, they turn to their last resort, the formidable Kim, consulting detective. But even she struggles. Can this really be the case that flummoxes even her and remains unsolved?

Excellent

As ever, another fantastic listen from Claire Nicholls. I’m new to her as an author so will definitely be seeing what more is on offer!

Great listen!

One of the best crime thriller books I've listened to. Grabbed my attention right away and held it to the very end.

The saga continues...

Twists and turns, intrigue and suspense with delightful humour and a growing character cast. The narrator has been challenged yet again and succeeded in developing new threads and accents - please, please do some more volumes.

Drop everything and listen to this now!

Quite possibly the best crime fiction audiobook ever! You really should listen to the first seven audiobooks in the series first, but only so that when you listen to this one you’ll get the most out of it. It. Is. Phenomenally. Good.

I loved this audiobook

While this isn’t the perfect audiobook, I thoroughly enjoyed it. I rarely say I can’t put a audiobook down, but I really couldn’t. There are just nonstop twists and you’re almost disoriented. By the end, the surprise ending just blows your mind. You (and the main character) have suspected every other character in the audiobook except the actual killer. I couldn’t stop thinking about what a great ending it was for several days.

Great new crime-action thriller fiction

Definitely KT Ashbourne's best novel yet, as he ventures into a "new" genre of a crime action-thriller. And I challenge any reader not to be HOOKED after the first page. This book is definitely impossible to put down, so start on the weekend when you have no other work or family commitments.

Good as ever!

I didn't read any of the reviews for The Corpus Delicti in the Gondola to Monte Baldo: The Lake Garda Mysteries, Vol. 11 prior to listening to this book, but if I had, I would still have bought it. This is because I have been a fan of Claire Nicholls.

Really enjoyable

Despite this appearing to be teen fiction, I really enjoyed this audiobook. The plot kept me interested until the end and the characters were believable and well formulated. I will definitely watch out for more audiobooks by this author.

A different kind of mystery

This book is good, but it could have been so much better. Hopefully next one will be better like other books.

Fun!

LGBT, situational-humor, Italy, murder-investigation, inheritance She has been living in Italy for over a year, has no real skills at anything employable, has pots of money acquired over that time, owns four companies, drives fantastic cars and now a float plane, has two fiances, and can only do Italian on text with a translator app! Another murder that the Carabinieri need her to solve for them and a whole lot more surprises in this antidote to reality. Loved it! Claire Nicholls should get an award just for not cracking up while narrating!
