The Contract is one of those books that doesn't take much attention to read. It's story is simple, and the characters aren't that complex either. Richard VanRyan, tyrant and playboy, entices his PA to fake being his wife so that he can land a job. What starts out as a simple business arrangement turns into something else for them both. The plot is predictable, but likeable, but there is a certain sexiness that is missing for me. It's all very sweet, but lacks passion.

Easy to read, but easy to put down as well

Loved the story; clever and catchy. Would recommend. Only downside is the narration is a little dull but the story outweighs that.
