The first interstellar war, a generation ago, left humanity enslaved. Now humans fight in the armies of their masters to save themselves from annihilation. At least, that's what the propaganda insists is true. What the layers of lies keep hidden is how badly the new war is going for the people of earth. Summary
After 26,000 years the Void Wraith have returned. The Eradication has begun.
Mankind’s outer colonies are disappearing. Without warning. Without a trace. Fleet command chalks the attacks up to pirates, but Captain Dryker of the UFC Johnston isn’t buying it.
Defying command, he leads his misfit crew into hostile territory in search of answers. They encounter the mythical Void Wraith, an unstoppable legend whispered by the first race. After 26,000 years the Void Wraith have returned to begin the next Eradication. Their technology is superior, their motives unclear.
Humanity cannot stop them. Not without help. Captain Dryker’s only hope is to forge an alliance with mankind’s greatest enemy, the savage Tigris.
One maverick captain, an unlikely crew, and an aging vessel are all that stand between humanity and the Eradication.

Predictable, Dull, Stereotypical Crap. AVOID!
A steaming pile of unimaginative, un-original, clichéd narrative and dialogue masquerading as science fiction. Think of every other American "Hooyah!" action/sci-fi film ever made and this is as predictable as them right down to the "Your ass is mine / I'm gonna can your ass!" line but this is more stupid because of the vast plot holes right from the start. The entirely predictable military use metal projectile weapons! on a space ship! in space! for F's sake!! I wasted half an hour of my precious time and one credit listening to the first four chapters of this dross and knew it wasn't ever going to get better. And it goes on and on for SIX books.

My personal opinion
For the first hour of this series I struggled with the voice of the narrator, for me I found the tone of his voice hard to listen to, but after a little while I settled into it and was able to start enjoying the books better. overall I found the story very enjoyable, I found myself wanting to listen to more to see how the story progressed. I liked the way the main characters evolved through the story and even if this is classed as the complete works the story hasn't finished and could carry on for a long time...And if it does I would love to hear it. My only complain is one of the main alien races of the series is similar to a humanoid version of an animal we have on our planet, I have seen this happen a lot in books, why? the universe is full of unknown answers, we are such a tiny part of it! life was created on earth due to lots of factors being in place, if the sun was closer could we not have evolved into intelligent life differently. the fun of science fiction is it can be anything! Aliens don't have to be humanoid, don't have to resemble earth's creatures, can be created of elements we haven't even discovered yet!. But enough of a little rant :) I really enjoyed this series and hope one day it isn't the complete Saga

An Enjoyable series
I liked the books and enjoyed the plot ,mostly. despite the feeling of repetition with a never ending list of bad guys the story had enough twists and turns to keep me listening. it's a true sci fi book with lots of great ideas and interesting technology that keep the listener entertained and I like a story where the good guys win more than they loose. I would recommend the series as they certainly made my working day more enjoyable and I thought it was great value for money too.

Stargate Atlantis?
It's not a good book. Heard about about 8 hours now.. And it doesn't get better. Some very odd decisions right from the start. At least some of those are explained later and can be acceptable.. But.. Some super advanced race attacks and leave little trace afterwards.. Defenders overwhelmed and doesn't seem to do much resistance.. But! A small group of 4 marines can take out a couple of them, that doesn't seem believable at all. Sorry to be prejudice.. But this book just seems like American War porn.. Maybe not the right word but I think American rednecks and military personnel reading this, will love it! And maybe counter strike nerds.. :) "his hand goes to his sidearm" so many times in a hopeless and completely useless situation to do that. Why?? Because that's what you do when you are the hero.. And wants to appear in control and macho.. Finally got all this off my chest, been 8 hours in the making. Can't recommend it.

I'm not sure I can do this.
At 43 hours, it seemed like a great value for the credit. And don't we all love military science fiction? So the first alien race we meet are cats. They have long tails. Or maybe they're lions, because they also have manes and are organized into prides. And they're called the Tigris. They growl and meow. And they live in the Pantherine System. And their goddess is Tigrana. Really? Is this a serious book, or an episode of Futurama? I haven't returned it yet, but I'm already close with 40 hours left to go. Don't think I'll make it.
