A deadly assassin. A desperate witch. A past that won’t stay buried.

I’m Amber DeLea—ambitious witch, potion mistress extraordinaire, and daughter to a woman slipping further away each day. My life is a constant battle, whether it’s cursed runes, treacherous coven politics, or dark forces closing in. But nothing haunts me more than my mother’s unravelling mind, and I’m running out of time to find a cure.

The last thing I need is Bastion—the deadly griffin assassin who shattered my world—being ordered to protect me. And yet, here he is, my reluctant bodyguard, bound to keep me alive even as old wounds fester between us.

Every whispered incantation could be my undoing. Every shadow hides a threat. And every moment with Bastion blurs the line between hatred and something far more dangerous. I’ll do whatever it takes to save my mother—even if it means risking my heart to the one man I swore to despise until my dying breath.

Devour this witchy series if you love humour, heart, and a strong heroine tangled in a slow-burn enemies-to-lovers fade-to-black romance.

There are some skips/jumps, like missing peices in the upload though which is a bit frustrating and disappointing as I miss parts of conversations that are important.

It's great I enjoy listening to witch stories and this narrator is really good.

A generally well narrated story. Yes it's light with humour and a small amount of suspense, but there are unexpected surprises here and there. Great to have a book set in England for a change, and with an English accent that's not overdone.

lightweight and fun

Great story and characters but I wish the narrator would get the pronunciation of places correct. In the story it talks about the Liver building in Liverpool. The pronunciation is wrong in the story the narrator says the name like the Liver organ but if they changed the pronunciation to the word being spelt with a y is in Lyver it would be pronounced correctly. Just a small thing but many narrators in many stories butcher names and pronunciations. Apart from that as said a great story 😜

Great story

The only problem I had was that there were several glitches with the recording, Thanks

Loved it

Took a while to like the Heroine's grumpy abrasive manner but by end of the series I was egging her on. Loved the narration and the superb demonstration of a wide voculabrary. At times the pot twists were weak, Amber being too dense to be believable. Loved it though.

Excellent story telling
