There are different forms of intermittent fasting, so if you want to fast responsibly, then you should find the type of fasting that suits you best. For instance, there is the 16-eight fasting where you fast for 16 hours and then eat your meals within the remaining eight hours. Then there is the alternate day fast where you fast on one day and eat normally the next.You may also choose the extended fast where you fast for a longer period of time such as eight days or more.

Traditional fasting has proven to be ineffective with many people unable to cope with the tough requirements. Ordinarily, people would fast from dawn to dusk for probably an entire month, having to endure days on end without proper meals. Then once the benefits of fasting are achieved, they would resume normal life only for the problems to creep back again. This can be very frustrating.

Fortunately, intermittent fasting solves this problem. Rather than go through lengthy periods of fasting, all you need to do is identify the most suitable intermittent type of fasting. For instance, you may choose the 16-eight format where you go for 16 hours without eating anything and only eat within an eight-hour window in any given day. Fortunately, the 16 hours of fasting include your sleeping time, so you will be asleep for about half of that time.

Intermittent fasting has gained popularity because it offers choice, is easy to handle, and has a lot of benefits but without the rigors and disadvantages of traditional ways of fasting. Everything you need to know

This is a short but informative audio book on the benefits of fasting. Would of liked a less robotic approach from the narrator but didn’t distract to much from the information

Complete Guide to Intermittent Fasting. Complete Guide to Intermittent Fasting this is a perfect guidebook for me. There are many eating regimen books out there, yet I discovered this one brimming with helpful data. I am recently started Intermittent Fasting this book very helpful for me. This book clear direction very effective for weight loss. I am follow up this book instruction I get a better result. It will also help you in choosing the best way of intermittent fasting that suits your way of life. This book will explain the tips that can help me in getting the most of intermittent fasting routine. Most eating regimens state to top off on any products of the soil, yet this book really went over the way that there are a few vegetables that are not consistent with weight reduction and that they ought to be kept away from. It was a useful book. Love this book, very good one!

Fasting: Pros and Cons..

This book has 31 pages of fasting information.

It touches upon the different reasons why people fast, the benefits, as well as the downsides.

My only issues was that the book was not longer.

The guy on the cover with the dessert, that's exactly how I look, right before dessert... lol..

The narrator, Shawna Wolf , did well.

Light overview of fasting With robotic narrator

Provides a very light and cursory review of fasting, including the reasons one would (e.g. weight loss, religious) and the different types (once a week, after certain hours in the day). The book didn’t get too far into each type which I would have appreciated, nor does it provide references for the curious listener. Seems like a rehash of the WebMD and Wikipedia sites on the same subject matter.

My biggest issue with this book was Chapter Six discussing the flushing of toxins from cells along with “other unwanted junk”. This line removed any credibility from this book as toxins in this description do not exist and are solely in the realm of “woo-woo science”. Scientific illiteracy is very damaging and deleterious as seen in the recent measles outbreaks, and should not be propagated.

Informative

I had heard very briefly about fasting in the past.

Apparenty I already do a 16 hour/8 hour fast. Very interesting. I had no idea.

This audibook goes into several different aspects both good and bad, a brief history, types and how each of them work.

If fasting is something you are interested, this book is probably worth it. You can always go back and reference it.

Narrator was good.

Bazinga

This was a quick listen. It was a simple explanation on intermittent fasting. The narration was good. Good starter book with basic tips to try. To take this a little further I'd recommend "The Complete Guide to Fasting" by Dr. Jason Fung.

Disclaimer: I've been listening at 2x speed for so long anything else sounds like slow motion. My enjoyment of the narrator is based on my listening speed. I only leave 5 stars for books I've listened to multiple times. I'll update my review if I listen again.

An introduction

This is a great introduction to intermittent fasting audiobook for individual who are just starting to research intermittent fasting. The narrator is a bit dry and bored sounding but the information is relevant.

Don’t waste your money.

This book was awful. It was poorly written and almost completely devoid of any useful information about intermittent fasting. Although, it is almost worth listening to for the sheer amazement factor of just how bad it is...

Interesting information

Actually tried some of these practices and I can tell a difference. I think I've been doing a lot of this for years but didn't put it together until I read this book. I would recommend this book.
