I wasn’t sure at the start of the first book , the narrator seemed to sound like he was just reading from the book , no feeling , but then the characters came in more and then these books ended up being amazing ..

Unfortunately the poor Yorkshire accent for the main character who was supposed to be from Nottingham ruined this for me. Poor narration but otherwise, good writing.
