Inspirational?
I searched for an inspirational Audible and this came up. The plot began with promise and even though there was a great deal of time spent in the teenage world with information, I continued. Most information was not needed to move the plot, but the book promised a great twist. Then death. New characters...death. New characters death. But still there’s a promise of this amazing twist and there wasn’t. But I could handle all of that, for lessons of faith, for lessons in overcoming, for a love that reaches from Heaven. But this book doesn’t give even a vague hope of something more than a cosmic wish. If you think inspirational means al lot of people die and then there’s a happy ending, then you’ll like this book. If you believe Destiny is designed by the Creator, love is a product of God’s Grace you’ll be disappointed. There needs to be a dewy decimals system that classify books better.

Choosing Right Even Through Pain
The second in the Color of Heaven series caught my attention and held it throughout. When sixteen-year-old, Kate Worthington got pregnant to the horror of her high school principal father, her heart told her NOT to abort the baby. But everyone in the house, including her mother cowered to his domineering ways. His personal reputation was the most important thing, not his daughter, his grandchild or his family. When, at the last minute, Kate, with her older sister at her side, balks and flees the doctor’s office, refusing the abortion, her father sends her away to his sister’s house. What follows is a series of tragedies for Kate, and the young man she loves and eventually marries. In another place, sixteen-year-old, Ryan Hamilton, is running and drinking with a wild crowd, when a devastating accident happens. He’s the only one who comes out whole . . . and changed forever. This story is of how these two lives intersect many years later . . . I don’t want to give away what happens, but it’s a tale well worth the listen. Gracious, well thought out and touching. You will think you have it figured out, but its not how you think. Its better. Giving credit openly to God would have been the icing on the cake. But still a great story.

THE COLOR OF DESTINY
This novel is just as good as the first one in this series. I guess it is not necessary to read in order but if you do not read the first you will miss a couple of key points brought up in the second. Both are fantastic reads or listens. Now I must read the 3rd in the series.
