Summary

The mystery deepens in the gripping second novel in David Baldacci's Camel Club series, The Collectors.

Annabelle is a beautiful stranger with a mysterious past, planning the heist of the century - two short cons to fund a long con, then a life of unashamed luxury, incognito in a foreign land.

Jonathan DeHaven, the shy head of the Rare Books Division at the Library of Congress, is planning nothing more than an uneventful day amongst his cherished collection.

But when Jonathan is found dead by Caleb Shaw, a member of the Camel Club, two conspiracies are destined to meet as the club determines to track down the dead man's long-lost wife - and Annabelle decides to avenge the death of her beloved ex-husband.

Unfortunately, the victim of Annabelle's long con has sworn eternal revenge, and Jonathan's killers will stop at nothing to keep the truth about his death, and the code they have perfected over the years, from surfacing....

The Collectors is followed by Stone Cold, Divine Justice and Hell's Corner.

not worth a credit

Just a jumble of a plot with peculiar narration. Quite enjoyed Camel Club but won't bother with any more sequels.

Which hand is it in

Good story line even though it was split into two parts and one is a cliff hanger. For excitement and action you can’t beat this author

The Collectors

Interesting plots intertwined. David Baldacci is a great story teller. Production could be better too many needless he said /she said.In one scene with a man and a woman the audience can work who is speaking

horrible narration

The narrator is absolutely not a right fit for baldacci books. I can hardly believe Baldacci would be happy with this narration. Seems like the narrator feels like he is reading an old comic book about a goofy character. His intonation is off and its so distracting, I dont think I can get myself to get past the second chapter. Pity, cause I love Baldacci books...

love this series

Love the Camel Club characters. Good blend of intrigue, adventure and humour. Not sure it needs 3 naraters but I enjoyed it anyway. Looking forward to the next one.
