brilliant writer but listening to it ruins it

The narrator is not invested in the text at all. The narration is too fast and it's akin to someone reading a shopping list.
The actual text is incredibly engaging and for Jungian theory very readable and enjoyable even.
I'm sure the narrator is great at reading other things but it really requires the narrator to have an interest and or understanding of the text in order to read it in a way that the meanings in it are conveyed.

Chiron are one of the main publishers of Jungian literature and I would have hoped for better from them really.
