“Hello?”
“Haven’t you got anything better to do than having an affair?”
“Who is this?”
“You better watch your back.”
This cold call is murder.
Detective Bethany Smith is called out to 21 Bladen Avenue, the home of Jason and Georgia Holt.
It’s one of the worst murder scenes she’s ever seen.
In the middle of the living room, Jason lies motionless in front of the fireplace. He’s been opened up like a can of tuna. His innards have been removed. His face is pulp.
Jason’s wife found him. No one should ever have to see their spouse like that.
Days later, in another home across the city, a young woman answers the phone: “How does it feel to have killed someone while you’re in the process of removing their baby?”
It’s the last call she’ll take.
An exhilarating crime thriller with a shocking ending you won’t see coming. Perfect for fans of Helen H. Durrant, Charlie Gallagher, Rachel McLean, J.D. Kirk, Steve Parker and J.M. Dalgliesh.

Narrator: Anna Cordell
A killer delivering their own kind of justice in a a brutal and disturbing manner so if you’re squeamish then be warned.
I really liked this story, the characters and the plot, although you know who the killer is and their motive it was fast paced so kept my interest.
If you like audio books the narrator does a good job.
