Summary

Lincoln Rhyme tracks down a terrifying serial killer in the second in the series. The Coffin Dancer, America's most wanted hit man, is back. He's been hired by an airline owner who wants three witnesses taken care of before his trial, and has got the first, a pilot, by blowing up his entire plane.

Enter quadriplegic ex-cop Lincoln Rhyme, who can find forensic evidence to hang a man in the smallest debris, and his assistant, Amelia Sachs. Their job is to keep the remaining two witnesses safe and to find the Coffin Dancer before he finds them. Because he will find them and anyone else who tries to get in his way.

Great story

Have read this as a book but definitely enjoyed it more as an audiobook. Brought a whole new dimension to it. Great story great narration. Can't wait to listen to rest of the series.

Fantasticly written and narrated.

Best book I have listened to yet. So well crafted with detail and thought.

Nonsense ending, so disappointing

This book was so well written and built tension throughout. The attention to detail was extreme and the characterisation seemed spot on. And then, “the twist”... which ruined everything. Not just because it didn’t fit, made no sense and was utterly outlandish but mainly because it was actually impossible. It left so many gaping plot holes that Rhyme himself couldn’t have fitted the narrative back together. If it were a physical book I’d have thrown it across the room. No idea how it got published. So my advice is don’t bother. Hours of your life you will never get back...

not the best in this series by a long way.

quantity of titles I. e. getting something out , seems to have replaced well thought through story lines. lots of holes and unrealistic logic jumps even for a fictional crime novel. Jeff Harding helps save it for me.

Disappointed.

I found the story complicated and contrived. Not a great fan of Jeff Harding as a narrator. So-disappointied.
