About this listen

The Coffin Dancer, America's most wanted hit man, is back. He's been hired by an airline owner who wants three witnesses taken care of before his trial, and has got the first, a pilot, by blowing up his entire plane. Enter quadriplegic ex-cop Lincoln Rhyme, who can find forensic evidence to hang a man in the smallest debris, and his assistant Amelia Sachs. Their job is to keep the remaining two witnesses safe, and to find the Coffin Dancer before he finds them. Because he will find them, and anyone else who tries to get in his way.

I am struggling not to spend all my credits on this entire series and binge-listen to the lot. I have just listened to this book which is the 2nd in the series, and the 1st one, The Bone Collector, back to back. Maybe as the series develops it won't matter if you listen to them out of order but I think at this point, it does matter - I was glad I had heard the 1st one.

This story is complex and brilliantly plotted. Lots of minute details so you need to keep your wits about you. It is creepy - but it's not terrifying, which is good as I listen a lot when I am on my allotment or out walking; with The Bone Collector, which was more creepy, I had to switch to Jane Austen once or twice.

Brilliant narration, such a great range of voices, all perfect - and there are a LOT of characters.

Loved it - Hooked on this Series Now!
