The Climb is a true, gripping, and thought-provoking account of the worst disaster in the history of Mt. Great book but the long pauses were a little annoying. I would still recommended though.

I found this account of the 1996 Everest tragedy to be more rounded than Into Thin Air(written by a journalist) and I really really appreciated the correct pronunciation of Himalayas.

A great book demonstrating the best of humanity and possibly the worst of humanity. The instinct for personal survival against the instinct to help others survive...or overriding commitment to the people you are responsible for. Definitely worth reading.
